I have been with this surgery for over 35 years. Unfortunately, I have seen this specific surgery become one of the worst surgeries in Maidenhead. All the doctors at the surgery are very good. However, it's impossible to get to see one of them. The telephone system they have for appointment is a complete joke. You're kept on the phone for over an hour sometimes only to be told that all the appointments have already gone. At this point you're told to contact them back later on in the afternoon of course with the same result, no appointments available. The receptionists are very cold and have absolutely no empathy.
I can only speak about my own experience visiting this GP surgery…I have recently had two telephone consults with Dr Cheng, he was absolutely brilliant. One of the times he asked me to come in for a face to face because he wanted to double check something. I found him thorough and attentive. I have also had a routine appointment with the nurse who I have always found to be an absolute treasure
I normally have good service from our gp practice. Today, I have waited 2 and 3/4 hours yes 2 hours 45 minutes! to get through on the appointments line with the line slowly going down. This really isn't acceptable when you are ill.
This place suffers from its popularity. The area covered is quite large and highly populated. It is a shame to see all these one-star haters though; the quality of medical care available is impressive and, whilst there is contention for appointments, full service health care that is completely free at point of use is an amazing and enviable proposition. Be patient patients!
Non medicly trained receptionists who stone wall you and tell you don't need to see a Dr face to face. Who exactly are they to make a Medical assessment One of the worst surgeries for seeing patients face to face. Avoid and find a surgery who do thier job properly
This doctor surgery needs to be reported to our local council. You can never get through to them phone is always busy and it’s almost impossible to see a doctor. SHOCKING !! I’ll be requesting to move to a different doctors surgery who actually care about patience well being shame on you Symons you were once an excellent surgery who always answered the phone now it’s almost impossible to talk. Please review your practice and think about the service you are providing put yourself in a patient position and see how your surgery is behaving won’t take much to realise how bad your practise is operating.
Shameful. How can we report this surgery? I called at 8.30. Number 28 of 32 appointments and told nothing for my 8 year old. Who is in pain. We get told not to go to A&E unless it’s life or death then our children are left suffering in pain because it’s not bad enough. Where are her human rights?
Doctor called for a telephone appointment within 20 minutes of me initially calling the surgery! Fantastic service!! Thank you.
Impossible to get appointments for me or my elderly mother.They always ask you to call back for an emergency appointment later and this seems to happen whenever you ring. You cannot get through at 9 am or after lunch at 1400 for ages, let's say! Sick notes are something you need to chase otherwise the 5 days required to get one becomes anything from 5 to 10+.This is just some of the bad experiences I can review.I think they need to stop accepting new patients it's all I see when I go there and they seem pleased to have a new GP to go to,of course.The reality is appointments are not enough for the patients already . A new surgery is imperative in the area. NHS costs just must be found
I had a dermatology appointment booked here which I had waited for over 4 months to get. I am pregnant and when I attended at the scheduled time they made me wait in the hot conservatory with no seats for over 40mins standing . This is appalling there was no way to ask how long it would be as staff just kept the door locked and ignored the buzzer. Disgusting to treat people this way.
