I went in for a swim. To start with the good the staff were really nice pleasant and helpful, but that's the only positive thing I can say. For the price I really would have expected a better experience, the pool water was the coldest I've experienced at an indoor pool felt like an outdoor one and the lanes feel very narrow. I'm not sure if it's that or just from the people in there but I've never been hit so many times during a swim. The place was clean enough but still smelt bad in places. But what really annoys me the most is the tokens for lockers. The only way to use a locker is to buy a single use token for 30p which isn't much but why is this not just included in the price, I cannot imagine there's anyone who doesn't need to use a locker. This is the only place I've seen with such a system, plus these are really only for 1 use/lock, if you want to get your towel or forgot your goggles or something you need to pay again. Plus the lockers are separated by gender so you can't even share one with a partner or friend.
A community oriented chain fitness and well-being centre. The staff are very understanding of individuals needs and circumstances while maintaining a safe environment for everyone. My 4yo has been doing swimming lessons over the past year at a time slot with a few other groups of different ages groups. Lots of different backgrounds and cultural expectations given it's kids and swimming and everyone is highly respectful of one another.
I've had a bad experience overall at this gym, including a couple of incidents of sexism from staff which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Thankfully another member of staff was quite supportive during the first instance in the pool area, but it still leaves a bad taste. The changing rooms are filthy and smelly. I've switched to another local gym not even using the remaining membership period that I paid for which is a welcoming environment to all, has a good atmosphere, is clean, and has better opening hours.
They abruptly cancelled my badmington booking on the day of the booking i booked one week in advance so they could have cancelled earlier claiming they had booking system issue. Badmington was for my son and his friends. his party is dead. the Staff who called me was extremely aggressive. I recommend to avoid this center.
A very nice soft play on a safe and clean environment. Very friendly staff. Less costly than other soft play in the area and flexible time slots. There is also a library at a walking distance plenty of nice books and activities for family and kids of all ages
The gym has many different studios for classes, a large hall for different type of sports, and the gym floor is very large and spacious. They also have the Spa, with the steam rooms and sauna and if you want to get any other treatments. This has always been my home gym for ages. I feel like at home.
For a gym that charges £47-£60 the services they provide are sure below average. 1. The Hot water for showers doesn't work half the time. 2. The washrooms are never clean 3. The big lockers are all taken by the staff and never available for the customers 4. They have a new £3 charge if you miss a swimming booking even if you missed it cause of an emergency 5. One of the main doors have been shut for half a month now and they haven't done anything till now 6. The most common dumbbells from 10-20kg ones are only one pair and never available in the evening time 7. It really looks like gym doesn't care about their customers. I've been to gyms which charge £25-30 a month and provide a better service and better facilities I myself don't have a choice as this is the closest gym to me but if you have a choice then go for another gym which actually values its customers
The price for a membership is hard to beat. You get unlimited access to the gym, the pool, and some group classes. However, facilities are not the best in terms of cleanliness. The men's gym dressing room is usually quite dirty. The pool dressing room has a good policy of no shoes inside, but what is the point of it if groups 30+ schoolkids are going to enter with shoes anyway?
What a joke the management is. I had a court booking and 1.5 hours before they cancelled it. They didn’t send any notice except an email stating I can a credit on my account. So your people got dressed and ready to play. Commuted there to find out nothing. When my daughter was visiting for one weekend from university. Maybe they shouldn’t double book? Or maybe they should pick up a phone and call when they do.
Everything was great, another thing I didn’t understand when I was booking was, that I chose the option to book the court for one hour and the system said that all courts are fully booked, but when I chose the 40-minute option, it let me go through. Maybe they are making more money that way, but it seems unfair because I want to book the court for 2 hours and I have to pay more than I should.
