We decided to have afternoon tea here as it looked different to your traditional options. We were not disappointed and it was absolutely divine! Excellent food and value for money wise it was great. Absolutely no complaints. All the staff were friendly and our waiter was very attentive and kept us topped up which we appreciated . The setting is beautiful and you feel like you are somewhere very special. Will definitely revisit.

Here’s to cheers and sunny blue skies! It’s the first day of spring and we’re loving Sunset Manchester in this fine weather. As you can tell, our love for Sushi is limitless and what better way to enjoy it then with a perfectly curated cocktail. Sunset is sister restaurant to the renowned Australasia and it doesn’t disappoint. The sushi was delicious and varied. Their signature cocktails are made to match with exotic influence. They describe the bar as a place to forget the world outside and soak up Sunset. One of us is from Australia so anything that transports us to faraway shores is a must for us! Sunset hosts an Asian themed banquet for afternoon tea which includes cocktails and sushi as well as other beautiful elements of bento boxes. We love this option because it means less decision time and more eating and drinking. This runs from 12-5 and ranges from £22.50-29.50pp. Alternatively, you can order individual dishes from their menu and choose your cocktail to match. We had afternoon tea. The savoury bento box was nothing special, the sushi was plain and quite bland, the Tuna didn't taste of anything. However, the dessert bento box was fabulous. The scones were really, very good, the macaron was delightful too. However, it was absolutely freezing, we were outside in the conservatory and even though the heaters were on, they weren't throwing out much heat and everyone at our table had cold ankles and feet. The staff were great, very polite and helpful, even though they tried to charge us for dishes and drinks we hadn't had. They took the items off as soon as we drew their attention to the mistake. Ultimately, I wouldn't return but the desserts were excellent
The restaurant and setting is pretty for pictures. Food was just alright. Price for food? I'm pretty sure you can get better options if you're looking for exquisite food and better service with this price. We found a blue string/plastic on one of the dessert. Horrified. Maybe would come back for a drink just for the decorations ONLY but never again for food. :/ Staff was rude.
The overall vibe of the restaurant is very cute and cosy, a very cool spot for lunch or dinner! The food was really nice, especially the dessert, but a bit overpriced for what you get.
Really pretty and such a vibe, went for afternoon tea was so yummy and filling, would appreciate it more if they did have a halal option too instead of jus veg and fish, otherwise its nice for a day out with friends, staff is friendly but serve kinda slow
Great place…. Food really nice…. Great drinks…… would have loved a larger cocktail menu and a bigger vegan food selection…… but well worth a visit!
The outside area was full so we were placed inside. Wouldn't visit again if placed inside as there's a lot of stains on the seats, the walls and the ceiling?!?! Saving grace is the staff we're very nice.
We did love the vibe, food & drinks were good as well but ngl a bit pricey I’d say but other than that - think it’s good for a girls night out
