This was one of my favorite stops in Manchester. Midday on a Monday so it was slow but super service, atmosphere, and selection of food and beverage. Our barkeeper gave great recommendations and mixed some delicious cocktails. The food was outstanding! German with flair, we loved it!Food: 5/5
Went on a Sunday around 3pm. Asked for a table - we were told half an hr. We said we would wait in the bar. But we were actually sitting at a very long table with very long benches and we found snout we could eat there - so we did. I had pork knuckle and hubby had the chicken with all the usually trimmings. On stage a couple were playing guitar and singing - then the residential Choir came on of which I think consisted of 6 singers and a guitarist sorry if not actuate they were amazing - all other own right. There were doormen and they were friendly too - great job. We had a really good afternoon. It was lively, friendly with great music, food and drink ….
Fantastic venue, with the most accommodating staff, could not do enough for us. Food and drinks delicious and good price. Venue is beautiful inside and the photo booth is great fun, also the disco toilet.Food: 5/5
Came here on a whim during a walk around Manchester. Had a quick bite to eat and a burger. Staff were very knowledgeable especially on allergens. Food came out quickly and was tasty. Unsure if I would upgrade my fries again but otherwise really nice. Good selection of beers on tap also. We hit it at happy hour by pure chance which made it all the better. We would of course go back for lunch but the night life maybe abit too lively for me
We were surprised to find this place so empty on a Sunday morning, especially given the repeated ‘warnings’ via email of being charged if we were late to our reservation etc. The promise of live music and entertainment never materialised but the atmosphere was still nice and somewhat different to any other breakfast option in the city. Sitting in one of the spacious booths in the window was great too. Service from the staff was good to begin with and the serving time of the food quick. I opted for the cook haus breakfast but it didn’t feel it justified the price charged. There was no butter for the toast and the pot of beans had clearly been left sat for a while since there was a layer of ‘skin’ on the top. The rest of the plate was fairly average in terms of flavours and nothing memorable. The drinks took too long to arrive and there was no offer of milk with the chai. The worst aspect of the meal was the service once we’d finished though - we were totally ignored by the staff and it was impossible to obtain the bill. We ended up asking the member of staff at the welcome desk, but the request was never followed up on. Wandering the restaurant with credit card in hand trying to find someone willing to take our payment took the edge off things, and with the average food probably won’t be rushing back as a result.
On a recent visit to Manchester, we were craving for an American and English breakfast. From the impeccable service to the outstanding food, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. The fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and full English breakfast were all perfectly executed, leaving us craving more. The chefs clearly take pride in their work, delivering a dining experience that is hard to forget. This restaurant is a must-visit!
A large modern updated pub off Deansgate. Plenty of seating, including a large section for eating as you first walk in. Ornate plaster ceilings in places that look like it was once a bank or other important building. There's a small stage to one side where a band was just setting up so I can imagine it getting busy but with a good atmosphere once they've started. The staff seemed more professional than the other places I'd visited that day, dressed in smart uniforms and aprons. There was also a large selection of drinks available including cocktails.
We have been here a few times and the food is always really good with an amazing atmosphere. I had the chicken with a brandy and mushroom sauce and truffle fries really good and such a big portion. A great variety of drinks to suit anyone’s palate. Highly recommended the entertainment was on pointFood: 5/5
To be honest, wasn't expecting much from this place, probably just a place for young 'uns to party. Got that wrong. Well impressed. Great decor, fantastic staff who were attentive and helpful and some really wonderful food. Good size portions so left well stuffed. Nice selection of tap beers also. Only negative was the pasta was ever so slightly overcooked in the Funghi Spatzle, but otherwise everything was perfect. Top spot goes to the Apple Strudel. Excellent, will return someday.
What a beautiful place. Nicely set out, clean and very pleasant. Lovely very helpful staff and plenty of them. We went for a meal for my 70th birthday. Kid-friendliness: There was a children's menu, my grandson had Brad dogs, fries and a tomato and cucumber dressing
