Lovely cakes in the window which is what drew me in, but the seafood chowder is what will stay in my memory! Lovely fish, and shellfish!

A nice sunny day to have lunch. Chose here to sit outside with dog. Had the tuna melt and salad very nice and tasty very polite staff even brought fresh water for the dog. We had excellent brewed tea and then cake after. The portion size is large be warned but very nice with the tea. Would recommend to visit

Lovely quaint tea and cake shop, I think they do great sandwiches too but I didn’t have one. Has an Irish touch and friendly staff.

Super!
Called in today because the had Seafood Chowder as Soup of the Day. Bowl full of large pieces of succulent fish a stack of mussels and superbly fresh bread. All in all fantastic.

Visited Hawkshead earlier in the week and came back to try the cakes, didn't get through the door, staff so rude and ignorant, a simple question to the waitress was met with complete rudeness, hence we left.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone, go some where else, also to note when i was passing later when the place was shut was that the cakes are left in the open, not covered.
