First customer in at 4.30 and noticed the girl serving seemed to be putting more chip's than usual on my order £16. When I opened them at home they were obviously from the afternoon's session. Lesson learnt don't go in as first customer.Very disappointed.
Was very disappointed with this takeaway. Kept us waiting to then find out order was put through wrong .we again had to explain what we wanted ,then I was disgusted as the female serving rolled her eyes and give us a really bad look just because we asked for salt on our chips .we totally understand that places are understaffed at the moment but there was no manners or organisation at all and to top it off everything was full of grease.
A nice quaint little fish and chip shop in the village of Strensall. The staff were friendly and the service was very fast. The food could have been better though. The gravy was almost clear it was so weak and the chips and pie I ordered were a little underwhelming too. Was only a one off visit anyway, but I wouldn't return...
Very poor. Two young girls behind the counter who spent more time on their phones than anything else. Got our order wrong obviously didn't know until we got home, so spoiled our evening didn't put the drinks in the bag so had to go back for them and didn't even ask if we wanted salt n vinegar. It's not exactly a difficult job, so no idea how they can get it so wrong.
Average chippy Sausages are tiny! Not too greasy tho. Fish is small too But overall good flavours in the products. Is room for improvement but just glad its open in the current pandemic! 5 star for this reason looking forward to the improvements as time goes on!
Second visit. First was disappointing but wanted to give second chance. Never again soggy batter cold chips.... Suspect warmed up from earlier frying.. We are local but won't be returning..
This is a small establishment which is centrally located in the village. The staff were fine and efficient. Our order came quickly and tasted just right. If you are still hungry after your chips you can have an ice cream afterwards!!
Booked a large order for our caravan group. Very easy people to deal with. Order on time, nice and hot, everything perfectly packed many thanks
Nice clean premises with a good menu. I like the fish patties fish between 2 slices of potato reasonably prices to other shops. Staff are very helpful and chatoy.
The portion size was big. The fish was ok, just a little greasy. The price was ok.
