Eaten here twice now and if my body could take it I’d eat here every day. Me and a friend popped in for the best cod and chips in York. These guys KNOW how to do the best F&C. Perfect batter, big portions, perfect chips not soggy at all and all cooked fresh. Lovely staff. Opposite a great pub Rook & Gaskill to boot! I’ve not tasted better in York. You can eat your takeaway inside at their window seats too. Thanks very much Jenny’s!

I have been eating here for what feels like forever and the food is always so good, the staff are amazing and I can’t fault how great it has stayed over the years! Great quality, fantastic fish. I hope it’s there for many more years!

Delivered a first one which was late and freezing cold but when contacted were very apologetic and sent a replacement which when it got here was red hot! Excellent customer service. Tastes great too and my dog ate the cold fish so I guess everyone wins. Thanks Jenny’s

Called here for scampi and chips  Don't believe the negative reviews. While the chips were a bit soggy they were edible and tasted great. The portions are generous as well Food was prepared to order and punctually

Fantastic!  I arrived before opening NOTE: OPENING TIMES ON GOOGLE ARE WRONG - check website.  However, they still made me the most fantastic FnC!  I was waiting for my MoT, so had limited time, and nowhere else to go easily.  So this kindness really made my day.  Oh and the quality was also fantastic :-D!  Thank you!

Excellent quality food, massive portions with the fish cooked fresh when i walked in. Large Haddock big enough for two people  Parking: Parking just to the side of the building

Probably the best fish and chips I’ve had in years, I’ll definitely be back when we’re in York again.

Amazing fish and chips, we ate in and couldn't eat it quick enough and didn't have that classic dirty feeling afterwards. Delish!Food: 5/5

Everything is freshly cooked to order in proper beef dripping .would highly recommend  .also do a delivery service throughout most areas in York.Food: 5/5
