Always very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Always a good selection of cake to have with your coffee. Good benefits for members.
It is conveniently located near Stratford station, and you can also go through Stratford Central and take one of the exits to reach the cinema. It is better to use public transport as parking can be quite expensive, even more on weekends. The movie hall is ok with just about enough legroom to sit.
Went to see the Lego movie but unfortunately due to an issue with the screening we were unable to see it. Still giving it five stars as despite not being able to see the Lego movie, the staff did not get his name but I believe he was the manager was apologetic and compensated us. We were able to watch another movie with complimentary snacks/drinks!
The movie was great but the atmosphere wasn't right, people were talking all throughout the movie behind and in front of us. It's also very difficult to get to your seats especially if your seats are located in the middle since there is no leg room in between the seats. Whenever we've visited VUE cinema, we never had any of these issues at all, so I shall always recommend VUE if you want to enjoy your movie properly!
A local treasure. Doesn't have the most luxe seats, or the fanciest sound systems... but it's comfy, cosy, not overcrowded and does have all the big releases plus a great range of films including things that might not make it to the big chain cinemas, and regular film revivals. They do special showings for families, pensioners, autistic people, and people with dementia. There's a bar upstairs with a nice seating area. Love this place, I go here over going to the big cinema at Westfield any day of the week. Recommended.
attended here on the fri 14th oct, after having tickets for a cinema close by but couldn’t get into that venue because the lift wasn’t working - the staff at picture house stratford were friendly, welcoming and helpful to me as i’m a wheelchair user and mum / carer is a mobility scooter user. i couldn’t ask for a better experience. will definitely be choosing this cinema as my first choice from now on! lift was working, good wheelchair accessible toilet and great wheelchair space in the screen rooms. thank you!
We were in screen2 the seat are really bad no leg room. I am 5'3" and my knees were really hurting me due to no leg room. Lucky there was no one setting behind me I had to raise myself up and seat on the edge of the seat facing upright. They need to sort the seating.
Never again, cinema has a serious rodent issue. In fact Picturehouse has consistently let me down in the last couple years. West end and Crouch End are the best London ones to go too.
Very spacious cinema. It was very quiet when I visited. Lots of food available. We watched Avatar in 3D but the glasses that were given might've made the movie more blurry :/ otherwise, a very good experience in this picturehouse!
Great purpose built cinema. Friendly and helpful staff, adequate number of screens, upstairs bar etc. Pocket friendly membership options available so remember to ask about this if you will be visiting at least 3 times a year. Totally worth it.
