Just been and had a meal with my partner and it was delightful! Great choice of real ales, Lagers and ciders, and also spirits. Very friendly welcome, allowed the dog. Great choice of menu, from starters, mains and puddings. Molly, Sarah, Noo, and Taylor were superb hosts, and the food was spot on!. We will definitely be returning. 5/5. Cheers!
Called in here at lunchtime as we were on a house hunting trip in the area. Lovely old pub, very friendly staff and clientele. Had a quick toasted sandwich which was lovelywith a drink. Would of liked to stay longer but had a viewing to get to. Hope we move close enough to make this our local. Thanks again hope to see you soon.
Staying in the nearby Wilderness Lodge. We came down the hill to the 'Local' and had a lovely meal, and a few drinks. Prices and service were great! A proper gem of an old pub, will definitely go back before we head home in a few days.Service: 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The food was delicious, amazing value. The service was impeccable. A wonderful atmosphere, really friendly would definitely come here again. Will be telling everyone!Rooms: 5/5
Such a lovely homely pub. Food was great and well priced. Beer was also good! Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
You know it must be good when you turn up midweek just after midday in the middle of nowhere and the place is busy. Friendly greeting as we entered with nice selection of drinks. Plenty of choice on the menu with choice of portion size too. All 4 of us had different orders, great taste. To finish, can totally recommend pear and winberry crumble. Definitely Shropshire at it's best. Great value, friendly. Will be going back again soon.
Lovely pub / restaurant set in a picturesque village . Menu providing more than adequate choice . All at excellent value. Food quality was excellent. Staff were very friendly Thank you
Popped in for a bite to eat and drink after a days walking. Top quality establishment, we hadn’t booked after being let down by another pub fairly local. Nice warm welcome, sat right by the open fire, excellent choice of ales HPA, XXX. Food was fantastic, lots of it, tasty and quickly served with a smile! Would defo recommend you head here for food and drink if you’re local staff are lovely!
This pub is so cosy. The people who run it are fabulous , the food is exceptional , just everything is so good. Highly rated. They go the extra mile to make you happy.
Stopped here over New year in our motorhome. Very busy friendly pub, but nothing was too much trouble. We had pre booked a table for New year eve but ended up eating there for 3 nights. Food was excellent and exceptional value, as were the drinks. Two nights we sat by the roaring fire in the lounge and ate there. It was small and cosy, everyone spoke to you. We had two lovely walks from the pub despite the weather and will definitely be back.
