It's a proper pub with a good local selection at the pumps, great staff nice mullet cosy atmosphere and a beer garden to the rear, what more do you want?

I adore the Benbow, genuine, welcoming, civilised people, wonderful atmosphere. Quite simply the best pub in Shrewsbury!!! Bar none!!
Went to this pub for a quiet drink. We have a dog and when asked if dogs were aloud the bar maid was not sure and then said one at a time. We didn't order a drink, just left as there was already a dog in. Odd, really odd.
Great pub, excellent service, good beer.
