Story

The Armoury is a city pub – it’s a truly impressive space, illuminated with lovely windows looking out over the river, with a good bar and massive bookcases, but it is never intimidating – Sunday lunch here with the family feels just like a pub lunch should feel like – the people on the tables around are warm and chatty, and there’s a lovely atmosphere throughout.

Enjoyed afternoon tea earlier today. Absolutely brilliant. Proper coffee instead of tea for us, freshly brewed, nice and strong. Excellent selection of sandwiches and cakes. Had to bring the scones home for later as we were both full. Well done all, Thank you very much.
Great lunch on Saturday. Fantastic location near the river and lovely decor inside. Friendly staff. Good beer and wine
Booked a table here on the recommendation of my parents and we are glad we did. The food and service were excellent, I recommend the Malaysian chicken curry it was bang on, and the chicken leek and bacon pie also went down well with the missus. Well worth another visit sometime.
Very pleased with the service. Ordered food and drink from the table. Easy to do. Staff were very helpful. We had fish and chips and Burger with Bacon and Cheddar cheese. Very tasty. Beer was good too !
The roasted celeriac, puy lentil and sweet potato pie is the best vegetarian dish I've ever had. Delicious. With perfectly roasted parsnips.

The Armoury never fails to please. After an exhausting day we were running late. At the last minute the lovely staff at The Armoury kindly changed the time of our booking. A super welcome awaited us followed by delicious food.
Great food and drink in a nice building. Good outdoor seating. Staff v attentive. Will be back. Cheers guys.
Really enjoyed it here. Have been back a few times. The only problem would be that the staff don't know too much about the drinks menu, and the wine descriptions are questionable. Otherwise staff are lovely and extremely friendly. And great food!
