WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE A STAR- This is undoubtedly the worst bank I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I had to open a twitter account to complain, as their telephone banking staff would just drop my calls...including their supervisor Syed. Not once has someone decided to call me back or help me...need to wait 24 hours apparently...i have been waiting 24 hours for 5 days now for something to be solved! Can't wait to close this account...

Like the other reviews on here I am shocked and appalled by the level of customer service offered by the SBIUK. Resetting password numerous times only to be told that my account was deactivated after 90-days. What sort of Bank does this and also why has the FSA not approached this banks policies and procedures. Updated: 04/05/2018 So not only is your account locked out after 90 days in order for your transaction password to be reset you need to wait every 24hrs for it to be activated. Why?

To be fair in review, this bank does not qualify for a single star. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced lest in banking sector. The 'security measures' are really complicated as they require the customers to come to their branch for even basic banking instructions or they need everything in writing and sent over post which has to be verified on phone later. Besides,their mobile banking app is least helpful and so is their inter banking service. THIS IS A 19 TH CENTURY BANK OPERATING IN 21 ST CENTURY. I would certainly suggest avoid this bank unless you have business interests in India .There are other Indian banks operating in the U.K ,worth giving a try.

This is undoubtedly the worst bank I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. One star is too good for it. It is bureaucratic in extreme. Its processes are confusing and convoluted, and its 'help' staff very much less than helpful. If I were you, unless you have a very, very good reason, I'd use almost any other bank than this one.

Absolute disaster with Indian Tax payers money. I initially thought it's only SBI India is full of incompetent staff , but looks like this in in gene of the organisation. Can't believe this is supposed to be one of the biggest bank in india. As long as everything is setup properly , then there are minor issues like service will be down , you will be logged off automatically etc. But the day you have to deal with customer service , you will get to know the real issues. Just to give example . I called the customer service and they said my issue has to be solved by branch and they gave me a number . When i call that number , it was wrong number . Then i got hold of a correct number , i called ; noone picks it up. It again goes to same call center again where again you have to do the same process again. One time call center told me that it is 5:30 UK time and people might have gone home. Whereas it was 4:30 UK time. I will not blame call center people as they are reading from the information shared with them. It's the Management which is at fault . After some calls , someone will say that branch will call you , forget it . It is not going to happen. The only way to deal with issue is to take all document , take your laptop , take internet dongle , go to branch , sit there and resolve issues. I have decided to close my account in India and London SBI. Can't deal with them . It's waste of time and these guys are not going to be improved. I wish the Bank go bust and employees become jobless . Then only people will realize the pain faced by customers. I can give multiple examples of dealing with branch . But leave it , nothing is going to change.
