Beautiful little green space in the middle of a very busy area of London. Amazingly old trees that tower over the church and the garden area. Huge pots hold Japanese Maple trees that are well tender to. We enjoyed for a short time before heading back to the hustle and bustle of London.
A return visit mid week. The church is normally open during the day during the week. Rebuilt after a period of forlornness, after being all but the tower destroyed by a direct hit during the blitz in September 1940. St Anne's, is a peaceful chapel in the midst of Soho and theatre land. Original comment Sadly closed when I visited on a Saturday afternoon. A mix of modern frontage on Dean Street and original opening onto a small park at the rear. A war Memorial to both wars at the rear.
I love this little garden, it's right in the middle of the city and it's a very nice place to rest your legs if you are sightseeing. It has a few benches and a picnic table where you can eat a snack while resting. The church is very pretty with a small fountain in front. The only annoying thing is that the A/C or the ventilation of the building next to it are noisy, it's like there is a freaking factory.
The churchyard around the back can be entered from Wardour Street and is a small park where you can relax.
Such a lovely venue in the heart of Soho. I was attending a conference, such great facilities as well as a space for prayer and reflection. The staff were very supportive. St Anne does a lot of amazing work in the community.
I visited the cafe Sacred Grounds. A hidden gem in the area. Good coffee, great welcome.
Been going here for my music practices. Great space
With a hypocritical smile, I was invited out of the church by the priests/pastors. I do NOT recommend this church, with hypocritical spiritual ministers in a smile, soul and heart. We need spiritual servants who understand each person, with the suffering that each person carries in their soul. Thanks
Lovely, relaxed place. helpful staffVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Very nice piknik place! Some homeless people were there but whatever. Also there is a huge lunch table.
