Sweet lovely community church, service at 11am... got lucky and got pot-luck! Nice choir and LGBT+ friendly :
No empathy for the homeless. No mercy and compassion as our Lord was and instructed us His Church to imitate Him in all our ways. I actually work freelance and sometimes cleaning to make it monthly but this was a difficult month for me. I had searched profusely for some where to get food in London and found the American Church who gave out free take away food to the homeless from 6-7. All I had that day was coffee at 6am and was hungry. I lined up and when it was my turn, I asked for a meal and they offered me a cheese sandwich or atuna sandwich. I asked if I could have both and the young white man looked up at another 2 black women who said it was alright. But another white female actually took the sandwiches from my hands and said no to my shocking. I just gave it back, said thank you and left without a meal. This happened on 24th of march 2024, holy week. I went to farm church in mayfair and got a salmon sandwich and fruit from their soup kitchen.
Complaint, The person at the Entrance Door did NOT allow me to enter your church ABUSELY, to participate in the worship service, 11 a.m. from March 24, 2024. I wanted to ask from the office of the church staff, by ringing the bell, at the back door of the church, to ask for your contact address as Pastor of the church to present my complaint. But it was announced through the intercom, by the person who did NOT let me ABUSIVELY from the main entrance of the church who told her NOT to stay and talk to me. Being a practicing brother of faith in Jesus, with water baptism.
The church is wonderful, the priests are welcoming, the preachers on the Thursday and Friday were great.
Thanks so much Rev's Jennifer and Jared and the rest of the congregation for the warm welcome my two sons and I received when visiting during the MLB London Series. Despite the language barrier my kids felt genuine love and attention, which transcends all languages. Thanks again and God bless.
If you are homeless or have little money it's a fantastic place to go. Always hot drinks Soup sandwich and fruits. At 11am they serve a hot meal with a vegetarian choice. Friendly and I never saw any trouble. You can sit down and enjoy it. It opens at 10am. Closed Wednesday and Sunday.
A lovely place for me - time, a place for getting an indpirstion and a place to meet others within numbers of servicesvprovided there..I would revomend the Jazz Nights, one of Wednesday once month, with a lot of opportunities to engage into a small chair singing, and the wines and cheeses gathering afterwards..
Travelled a hour to get here and the coffee was good but when I tried to get a meal I was treated very badly by the staff in the serving window they offered me a veg or meat meal and I said what do you recommend and the guy pulled out some shady looking meal that looked like it was half eaten and when I tried to exchange it for another meal I got a very rude reaction from the staff in the window and they said I had started eating it even though I did not have any cutlery to eat and they refused to change it for me then I realised that some people in this outfit get in a position of power to abuse the vulnerable, homeless and abused people so I didn't end up with a meal because of some guy in need of a beard trim who was a Mohamed In a church deceiving and causing trouble for no reason and made it look l was a problem because he gave me a half eaten meal on purpose to mess up my day and disrespect me knowing it would cause a problem
Helped with the soup kitchen, had a great time and meeting new people, would go back to help again.
Welcoming, friendly, inclusive church that celebrates everyone for being their unique selves. This is home.
