Mission

The mission of Notre Dame de France is to:
* Create, maintain, enhance the pastoral care of the Roman Catholic Francophone community in London as an ethnic chaplaincy
* Evangelise in word and action
* Reach beyond the Francophone community in London,to touch the lives of the people in the West End
* Provide religious education and sacramental preparation for children and adults
* Engage in charitable works and other evangelisation activities

I have walked by this church so many times and have never gone inside. What an unexpected surprise. With it's stunning interior and artwork this is a must visit if you are in the Lester square area.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Unusual circular interior and we always pop by to see the crib at Christmas, of course waiting until after December 25th to see the baby Jesus in-situ. There is a mural by Jean Cocteau and an elegantly simple interior space furnished in light oak and deco in style. Being so close to Leicester Square, it does have the odd down and out, but don't let that put you off a visit. Again it's a calm space near a frantic bit of London, so ideal for a moments quiet and recuperation.

Experienced a performance of St John’s Passion here. It was phenomenal - choir, music, surroundings, acoustics.  If you visit the Church, make sure to check out Cocteau’s murals. He included himself with the crucifixion one!

A nice litte jem in the middle of Leicester Square's huslte and bustle. The church is always opened - on day time. Dare to push the door, to have a look at Jean Cocteau's murals and at the tapestry behind the main altar. It's really worth a stop.

A french speaking Catholic church near Chinatown. A circular structure building. A quiet place despite being in a crowded area, a good place to sit back and spend some time in quiet prayer.

It's so nice to have a quiet space in Leicester Square, which gets crazy busy, noisy, etc.
