Went on a Sunday for a roast dinner which was lovely nice big bowl of veggies to go with it too and the roasties where just perfect. Nice a crispy and fluffy inside. The kids had kids meals which I think where really reasonably priced. There is a lovely little park less than 2 minutes from the pub too which the kids loved after dinner

Really enjoyed an afternoon in here. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone to drink here. The place is clean and inviting.
Drank in the Sportsman for 40yrs. No atmosphere at the moment. Fires not even lit to make it more homely. The real ale is kept well and is very good.

I'm a solo traveller with my dog and decided a long walk in the rain was a good idea,it wasn't! I spotted this pub and decided it was time to dry off. From the minute I stepped in I felt welcomed. They seated us by a gorgeous roaring fire to dry off,treat my dog to several trests and lots of fuss. It was so homely there we ended up staying for a meal and several more drinks. On asking if they could help me organise a taxi the young landlady offered me a lift ! There was nothing these brilliant people wouldn't do. I'm so glad I found this gem.of a place. Brilliant atmosphere huge gorgeous meals and kind / helpful staff x x
Fabulous burgers, fries, coleslaw, salad and sauces! Cooked to perfection! Super tasty! 100% better than The Pheasant and at a fraction of the price! Very impressed keep it up! Delicious thank you!
