If I could rate it lower I would. This hospital and their staff! I’m unsure where these people graduated their PALS team are great however. Truly exceptional, caring and compassionate staff as always. Nothing is too much trouble what wonderful people we have in our NHS.

6 hour wait in A&E majors for sucidical crisis when there was toxicity in the body. And they didn't give any aftercare or ongoing support. Very unimpressed. Also there was no information given about how long the wait was going to be and staff didn't introduce themselves properly and didn't build any rapport - very bad bedside manner. One nurse who gave an ECG was nice, and the man from mental health liaison was a nice person and the assessment was okay and I felt accepted - but he still didn't give any crisis team support / any medications to calm down Crisis etc. The Costa machine in A&E (main part) had run out of coffee cups and was very badly stocked up and was really messy and dirty. The place is a maze and very hard to navigate - it is not obvious where to have a cigarette and once you're outside the building you cannot get back in unless you're a member of staff with code to the door. They left me alone in a room for hours, and I did a body scan meditation laying on the floor for half an hour and (4 vials of blood had just been taken) and NO ONE came in to see if I was okay, from an outsider point of view it looked like I was passed out. I think it's very dangerous to go to A&E for mental health.

They run a exceptional service but people need to be patient with them and show a level of compassion towards them as they are stretch to their limits so dont be so hard on them. They do a good service overall

Had an operation today. The staff was amazing. On arrival I was greated with an happy nurse very friendly a place I say I feel safe. Anyway cut a long story short I've been coming here for two years and a bit and not once have I seen a nurse or a doctor looking miserable, always happy and make you feel welcome. Its a tough job and you expected them to be horrible but not this hospital. I would like to thank every stuff in king georges hospital thank yiu for being so kind.
