I picked up 2 pairs of glasses in December, the girl who served me was not really interested in the fitting, one of the pair had an arm out of place she just took it away when I pointed it out, and brought it back still not great. I always get my glasses from spec savers and have great customer service, I have been told to bring them back in which I will do. But working full time it's hard. But I was disappointed this time.
I had a very frustrating experience in this specsavers and it has put me off ever booking an eye test or purchasing glasses from them ever again. I was told by a member of staff that my glasses would be ready by a certain date. I was moving from Manchester so I would not be able to collect them if they took any longer to be ready. She assured me that I would be fine. I then spent over an hour looking at frames. Not a single member of staff offered to help, me which was exhausting. After spending over an hour trying to pick frames, I finally found frames that I liked. I asked a different member of staff would my glasses be ready by said date. She said that they definitely would not be ready , so I had completely wasted my time. Very unhelpful staff. Disappointing experience. There are other opticians in the Arndale that are a lot friendlier and helpful.
Avoid at all cost Specsavers Arndale is a joke they are fund of selling specs that doesn’t fit customer and when the spec broke and you return it they’ll say it’s been discontinued and charged you again they did this to me with two specs within 10 months Truely the manager doesn’t care she doesn’t listen to customer all she does is argue with customer I’m done with this company never going back there for my eyes test and they don’t care if you need your glasses urgently it’ll still take 2weeks for you to collect never going to recommend this company very bad and they really upset me when I went there the last time.And don’t go there if you’re on universal credit they will humiliate you,how dare they put the picture of a dark skin woman to advertise their product when clearly the staff can’t stand the sight of a dark skin customers very rude and racist staff I have used specsavers wythenshawe for 10yrs I never make a complaint about them. I changed to this specsavers Manchester Arndale because I moved to a new address I’ll advise black people to boycott specsavers Manchester Arndale.
I had the best customer service experience in a long time! Amanda has been very helpful and skilful! to make sure that my sometimes fussy needs are being looked after. I am quite picky with glasses and how lenses fit the frames; Amanda helpfully provided me with options to consider and personally made sure that the end result was exactly what I needed. If you ever see a smiling man wearing glasses walking on the street - it's possible that that would be me.
My father needed an urgent eye test. Very nice staff spoke to us and arranged to see us there and then. Did all the tests/checks necessary and diagnosed the issue. Explained clearly what was happening and the next steps. I would absolutely recommend.
I've been with Specsavers for years and for a mass-market opticians, I have very few complaints. My visit yesterday was as good as ever: polite and helpful staff, patient explanation of my prescription and help sorting my new specs. A very "does what it says on the tin" service delivered well.
I've always found their service to be friendly and helpful. In particular, when I recently had a fall and knocked a lens out of my half-frame spectacles, I took my glasses in to the shop because I could not re-insert the lens properly myself; their lab had my spectacles repaired good as new in short order. When a mistake was made with my contact lens orders, it was corrected quickly. Specsavers have supported me with my various vision needs over the years - including help when I had a visual migraine. I have been to several opticians over the years, but Specsavers has consistently provided the best service.
AVOID!!! Go to Vision Express downstairs. I had an eye test in June and I was called back for other tests because of hypertension in one eye, so far so good. I was told by Specsavers that they would have to refer me to a specialist optometrist. Months passed, and nothing. I phoned several times, I visited the store and was left waiting for 30 mins before being told that they couldn't access the system and that they'd phone me back, they didn't, I had to phone them. Five months later I got my referral! And the optometrist referred me immediately to the MRI with probable glaucoma. When I had my initial eye test the optician said I could have a NHS voucher towards glasses. I went back to the store to retrieve the voucher, but they couldn't find it because the optician had forgotten to issue it. Several phone calls and two visits to the shop later I was given the voucher code. The range of glasses that the voucher would cover was tiny and the sales assistant had no interest in helping me, he walked off. The service there is dreadful. They don't have a clue what they're doing. They don't seem to be able to use a computer. Zilch customer care and interest. A lot of young staff standing around chatting. I've since been to Vision Express on the ground floor of the Arndale, much much better. Avoid Arndale Specsavers and go to Vision Express instead.
If i could give 0 stars i would. Go to vision express downstairs and dont waste ur time here. I have been wearing glasses for the past 20 years. But when i came here they gave me £300 worth of glasses that were not even my number and i couldnt see with them but they were so rude and declined stating im lying. they were telling me to “SHUSH” as soon as i kept trying to tell them about this issue even threatening to get security on me just because i told them i couldnt see with the glases they gave me. I pointed it out to them that on the website theres a 100 day refund policy but they were refusing that and saying its not right. So either the website is lying or them. They kept the glasses and didnt refund my money either. Very disappointed. Hope i get mu money back. Really bad service from staff to manager.
