Station on Picadilly Line that is clean. There are stores circling the edge of the station. Many buses are available upstairs. However, there are no areas to park or easily drop off passengers in front. It is enclosed by a non stop roundabout.
Very architecturally interesting building, staff were unfriendly though and couldn't issue us a child ticket for a 5 year old, so we had to pay extra for adult prices, maybe that was our fault though. Trains were frequent into central London although old, dating from the 70s.
Perhaps the greatest station design on the underground - this one has it all, not least the sublime way it is enfolded in the sweeping curve of the bus station and surrounding shops. Not to be missed.
Elegant decor, authentic art deco, excellent connection to London via piccadilly circus line. V reliable services and friendly staff.
10:15nnExcellent customer service from an honest unassuming man.nSo ready to help, no problem, non judgemental, no attitude, a credit to the beautifully art-deco designednSouthgate Station, felt like talking to a family friend, know what I mean?nnSo refreshing, loved every bit of it.nnWe even had time to shoot the breeze on various annoying irritations like the empowered 'luvvy' education classes blocking up all the roads in and out of the Southgate area, not forgetting of course that white elephant in the room the ULEZ expansion, which was never stopped only developed by this sickening, nasty, money grabbing Labour mayor who was voted in to stop this kind of taxation on the poor mainly working trade men and less fortunate others.nnThank you so much sir,nwell-done, keep it going in a world of indifference, selfishness and ignorance.nnA diamond geezer in the London psychotic rough.
