Pigeons, pigeons and MORE PIGEONS! It's the most disgusting station in London. Now after they done big construction somehow there's 20x more pigeons than before. They fly so close you can feel wind from their wing in your face. The sound of them cooing is so loud you need noise canceling earbuds
Edit 20/12/24: Colindale station has finally reopened after a 6 month closure! They started building the new entrance, they removed the ticket gate and currently there are machines to tap in and out, there's currently a one way system put in place and they added new stairs and benches! The station is not step-free yet, there is no timetable on the platforms yet and it still feels like it's under construction. But overall, at least Colindale station has reopened and I'm excited what Colindale station will look like after it's completion in autumn 2025nnOriginal review: It's apparently closing on the 7 June until December 2024 to provide a larger ticket hall & step free access. I don't know why tfl decided to temporarily close Colindale, especially since there's already step free access at Edgware and Hendon central stations and the station the last time I went was pretty well tidy, I'll edit this review once it reopens in December this year.
The station staff was very friendly and attentive to help me buy the Oyster card, and then pointed me to the right direction to take the subway.

It's s small tube station, not very fancy to see there. It gets very busy in the morning and afternoon, since colindale is getting more and more people. The station itself has quite some age, and some things could be updated to make it look a bit nicer.nThe real issue I see at the moment, are the stairs, very narrow and it makes life very difficult if you have a baby stroller. A lift wouldn't be a bad idea for the near future.nThe staff are always inside, you don't see them around to help in whatever is needed. And you get quite a lot of people pushing the barriers so that they don't pay, and the staff see this, needless to say, they don't do nor say anything.
