Wonderful, free and full of character. Lots of nice touches and local history information. I especially liked the card games, meccano and toys from early years. Special exhibitions always worth seeing and I loved the gift shop with hand made items at very reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful staff and volunteers. My companion was visiting twice in a month.

Planetarium very restricted opening times and so disappointed that our visit was nowhere near one. Rest of museum quite interesting though.

Booked via email for 2 children, 8 & 11 and 3 adults including a senior all for the family ticket of £16.00. I was advised about this by one of the staff, which was very helpful. On arrival all of the staff were friendly, helpful and had a really personal touch. The planetarium itself although small was informative and educational but fun for all ages, with things to look out for and even how to collect micro meteors. It was an hour long and flew by. All of us totally enjoyed the event and are still talking about it. Thank you very much Southend Planetarium. Visited November 2016
