Mission

* Essex Fire Museum is open by appointment only between March to November.

*Alternatively come along to one of our family open days on our events page. Visits for groups, schools and individuals can be arranged directly by e-mail [email protected]

The Essex Fire Museum will provide a service that:

- Protects and promotes fire service heritage for the communities of Essex;
- Is recognised as one of the best in the UK
- Provides educational development opportunities to promote fire and community safety.

Products

There are no specific opening times. The Museum is located on an operational fire station and therefore visits are by prior arrangement only. Please contact Roger to make an appointment.

Very nice museum, is small but has a lot of items inside, we have been very lucky and get the gide, what tell us a lot of cool stories, also explain about the stuff inside. This place is really worth visiting.nDon't forget to book your visit via email.
Incredible experience for old and young alike. Murray and Chloe gave us a very informative tour for about an hour. They are so knowledgeable and passionate. Also made sure the young children enjoyed the day too. Highly recommended.
It’s extremely fun at Essex Fire Station today. The staffs are lovely, kind and there to protect safety. So much interesting antique collections to see.nnFree parking available at the front of the station extras on grass. We pre-booking is needed via email prior to open day. Open day dates can be checked and found online.
Beautiful place to visit. Walkable distance from the train station. Very friendly staff. It's free to visit. Please make sure of the days that are open to the public before visiting.
Came to the Essex Fire Museum open day on Sunday just gone was so lovely, so much to do for children and its a nice chance for the children to spray the hose, pop into a fire truck and get the history behind the hero's we have today in the service.nMy daughter loved the fact that there was toys on the ground for her to play, dress up opportunity, and of course glitter tattoos.
