Really nice surrounding gardens and the grounds are gorgeous and suitable for the whole family. Lovely formal areas along side a large pond.

Terrific park - so much to do and see. Live music in the bandstand during the summer. Children's playground and lovely gardens

Shite. Smells like a drain and there's too many old codgers giving my children dirty looks because they dare to enjoy themselves. It does have terrapins in the pond though but overall wouldn't recommend.

A really fascinating place to come and visit with lots of information to help you understand what you're seeing. Probably don't count on it filling a whole afternoon, but it's well worth a visit. And of course it's also surrounded by the beautiful Prittlewell park.
