Our WildAx Europa is brilliant, Renault-based and a bit different just like the Somerset Motorhome Centre! How come? Well after several disappointments in searching for a campervan, including having our money refunded by another dealership that couldn’t repair our vehicle, we found this dealership. Not only did Simon Ward process our purchase in time for a holiday at short notice but the company also came up to the mark when we needed to make a warranty claim on a problem it couldn’t have foreseen, agreeing the repair with a dealership closer to our home and settling the bill. Top marks, and faith restored!
Have now had two vehicles from Somerset Motorhome. Excellent service from Josh & Simon. Had a fair part exchange for old vehicle. The new van is lovely, was clean and tidy. Handover was very detailed and we had plenty of time to move our gear from one to the other. Had a minor fresh water issue which was quickly resolved by Ian in the service dept. Staying at the Local campsite is useful to find any issues. Would recommend Somerset Motorhome without any hesitation.
Simon and his team were all attentive but not uncomfortably present. We were able to sit in the van we were interested in enjoy a coffee and talk about what we needed. Although they were closing when it came to our purchase we were given every bit of time we needed to go over or requirements and work that was to be carried out on the van. Can recommend them fir customer service and quality
I have to take my hat off to these people they really know how to treat customer's not only at the point of purchase but most importantly the back up service is faultless second to no one. I have been in business for over 20 years and purchased loads of vans and cars from different places and I can hand on heart say that this is the best smoothest vehicle purchase I have ever made and I cannot recommend John highly enough for his knowledge in selling me my 1st motorhome and especially at hand over very easy to understand. Also Hanna in repairs she is an asset to your fabulous team brilliant after sales warantee repairs. Don't change a thing & Keep up the good work when I am board with my motorhome you will be my very 1st port of call for a replacement. We have also recommended friends who have bought motorhomes from you and they are all very happy indeed with there's to.
Haven't purchased anything yet but they have a good choice of motorhomes at reasonable prices.
Great Company to deal with, and very friendly staff. Changeover for our motorhome was very easy, with no problems. Thank you to all staff, now enjoying our time in Wales. Happy day's.
Excellent service throughout the whole viewing, testing and purchasing process. Staff pleasant and efficient not exerting unwelcome pressure. Pick up was smooth and involved excellent instructions. Actual paperwork was very smooth and trouble free. After sales help on phone was immediate and useful. Thoroughly recommend this firm .
We bought a motorhome from Somerset Motorhome Centre back in the summer and would rate the experience as follows. 1. Josh was the initial salesperson and he handled the process perfectly. He wasn't overbearing like some are and answered any questions etc, and left us to take our time looking over the vehicle. 2. There was a 7 week wait between purchase and collection, but that was fine by us as it was probably their busiest period for a long time. 3. The handover wasn't the best experience - we should have opted out in hindsight if we could have as we've had a caravan for years so knew everything pretty much. I know they are trying to help in any possible way for new customers, but 2 hours is a long stretch and a couple of points I knew were not correct - also do I really need to be told that on the heater controls that the blue area means cold and the red area is warm?? The speech is probably etched into their mind to be fair. 4. The warranty. They gave a six month in house warranty and we were told that we would under no circumstances have to pay out for anything, except the items not covered like batteries or anything else not factory fitted. The first trip away in the motorhome the dreaded engine management light came on. Luckily we were still able to use it though. Instead of us taking it back to them, they had us take it to a local main dealer which was better for us, and they fixed it and some other parts at considerable expense to them, so to say we are happy is an understatement. 5. All in all yes you will pay more than buying privately, but I would definitely buy from here again.
First class, I felt I had trust and confidence in company. Josh was great,friendly helpful and a good negotiator for the business. Gave a fair price for motorhome. Made procedure very smooth. Driver who picked up vehicle,was excellent in his service as well. I will definitely look to buy from this company in the future when ready to purchase our next motor home.Well done Albie Sussex
We purchased our motorhome here last August. Initally we were pleased with staff in sales. We were informed on handover we would get a 2 hr information sharing session. Also the motorhome would be valeted inside and out. On the day of handover the session was very much shorter and did not include a detailed handover of the habitation area. We were disappointed to find the valeting hadn't been completed. When the gentleman showed us the overhead bed we were shocked to find dead files all over the mattress. On finding this we were not offered a full clean but just the mattress vacuumed. We are new to motorhoming so we didnt have a previous benchmark to go by. After numerous trips back and forth for further repairs which hadn't been finished, we had a further shock. When booking a campsite a few weeks later on giving in our Reg we realised the plates were wrong. They had changed the original plates for ones with their company name on and the wrong Reg was displayed. This was dealt with eventually after a few phone calls but it had caused us much stress. We were given a small compensation after we pushed the situation. We would not recommend using this company to purchase a motorhome.
