So glad we popped in... gorgeously decorated, friendly staff, yummy food, clean and spacious too. We had a very enjoyable lunch, our first visit. Having just driven from London. Prices so reasonable too, with good quality food. Huge teapot... lovely oldie woldie experience. Would definitely recommend.

Took my friend in here for lunch today. We both loved the decor and my friend said it reminded of her Grandma's parlour. Lovely menu choices + also a specials board. Extensive list of drinks. I a flavoured sparkling water,my friend chose Elderflower water. I chose the "half a full breaakfast" my friend had scrambled eggs with feta cheese with avocado. Everything was extremely well presented and tasted really good. The staff and the interior were very nice. Excellent value for money x
Excellent quality of everything, friendly staff and excellent service, I had my little one with me and brought home paper and pen to draw, how SWEET!!
Avoid if you have any allergies or if you are vegetarian/vegan. Went here today asked for vegan afternoon tea when we booked and again I double checked when I arrived that it was a vegan afternoon tea. But despite this they brought me dairy milk and twice told me that certain sandwiches were vegan when they were not. When I told them this they did apologise but didn't really seem bothered. Could be dangerous for people who have allergies. I definitely won't be returning. Vegetarian options: Told me certain sandwiches were vegan and they wasn't. And brought me dairy milk when I asked for soya. Dietary restrictions: Avoid if you have any dietary requirements.
What a wonderful experience, the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re at your grandmothers house. Staff were friendly, food was delicious and the tea and cake were great. Amazing little gem in Romford, so glad we found it.
The full English breakfast is delicious. Great price and service. Homely atmosphere!Food: 5/5
Excellent breakfast and gluten free options available. Really friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. Not sure if dogs are allowed inside but we sat outside and our dog was given treats and fresh water. Will certainly return!
Having moved away from Chelmsford I really miss their tea selection! Rare to find a tea room with a good range of red bush teas especially
Great tea selection, great food too. The cake flavours are a bit basic.
