Fabulous site. Great amenities.Shower room warm and very very clean. Laundry room amazing with a fantastic drying room.Spotless and very well maintained. BUT! The real jewel in the crown are the staff. All of them. Welcoming.Helpful. Funny. Not the least expensive of sites. But worth it. Can't wait to return

Beautiful park with high standard facilities, lovely trees, walking opportunities on and off site, splendid reception, shop, library, launderette etc. My only reservation is the approach . The last mile or so from Clappers gate features a hill with skew bridge and some narrow bits with stone walls waiting to scrape the unwary caravan. On leaving, the steep hill is uphill to a stop line. Might threaten the health of your clutch! On the edge of Amble side there is also a rather narrow bridge with 90 degree bends at both bends .

They have all you would need at a caravan site. Staff are helpful and freindly. The site is spotless. Showers and toilets cleaned daily Great children's play area, fantastic scenery. Wildlife in plenty saw deer, red squirrels, ducks. Lots of good walks. Only five minutes drive into centre of Ambleside. Really enjoyed our stay.

My family have had a caravan on this site since the 1960's and I have spent pretty much very holiday here and love it. I go up with my own young family now and the place is just as magical. It has changed a lot over the years but only for the better and the owners have managed to keep the things that make this place special instead of adding things like bars and restaurants that would ruin the place. we ahed just got a new caravan on the same pitch and hope to spend plenty more years enjoying Skelwith Fold

Lovely site, very well maintained and scenic views. Lack of facilities which would go a long way in terms of bar or food etc.
