Awesome experience renting the vehicle, got there at at around 9 and we were away at 9:05. Adam was amazing, very professional, friendly and helpful. We also got a deal which included a free upgrade which was amazing. Definitely recommend for your next car rental and don't forget to get the top insurance.

Despite all the 1 star reviews, I'm more than satisfied with the service received! Received an upgraded class vehicle for the same cost.  Communication was great, could send details over the e-mail beforehand to make sure all the paperwork is in the right place and was smooth collection and drop off.  Only downside was that I couldn't keep the car! :  Awesome roadtrip and good memories comes now in mind when mentioning Sixt name!  Will be returning soon!

I often rent cars in Europe and it's the worst experience I've ever had. Because of the wrong store address, I was 2 hours later than expected to find the store location. For this, I ended up paying over 1000 for a £300 car.

Great car, tricky to find rental place, but very smooth experience overall. Big thank you to Adam for his amazing customer care and making our time in Scotland memorable. We will be back for sure. All the best!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The people working at this branch are uninformed and unhelpful. If you call to arrange a car and someone called Rob picks up the phone, hang up immediately. He is clearly badly trained and happily gives out promises and guarantees he can't back up. I am aware of the endless and mindless list of stipulations when it comes to hiring a car like things such as age restrictions and the use of debit/credit cards. I had booked my partner on a car as the main driver on my credit card. I then thought to call them and see if this was in violation of their policy. It was, but that was fine I had time to make other arrangements. However, Rob assured me that when I came to pick up the car they would just transfer the cost to her DEBIT card I made a point of the fact it was a debit card and everything would be fine. When we got there to pick up the car, we were told the car was too high spec to go on a debit card. We were also told that everything left in their fleet had to be booked on a credit card in the name of driver that had to be over 25. This left us stranded in Edinburgh with no easy way of getting to our hotel which was 2 hours away in Pitlochry. Fortunately, me and my partner are in the financial position where we could afford the premium of a same day hire elsewhere Enterprise, for anyone looking for a competent and professional car hire company but for others that could have been the end of their holiday. Thoroughly let down. You couldn't pay me to use this branch again.

Great car, we made a nice trip. However, the staff offered me an upgrade with the selling point that the upgrade would be a diesel, and that the extra price for that would be evened out by the lower fuel consumption of a diesel. When refuelling before returning the vehicle I read in the fuel cap that it was no diesel, but just a regular petrol. 1 I paid over 70 pounds for an upgrade based on false information. 2 I could have ruined the car if I would have just refueled diesel. That would have made an interesting case in who would have been to blame.  Luckily I could prevent the worst case scenario, but I still threw away over 70 pounds for what appeared to be an useless upgrade. Unfortunately I had to return the car outside of opening hours, so I could not talk to the local staff about this matter.

Office under the Omni Centre is a little hard to find, but once there, the staff was great. Adam and Rob were informative, friendly, and quick. Got upgraded to an automatic from a requested standard , which was a GREAT idea. People from the States do NOT want to be dealing with a stick shift in addition to the "wrong side", rain, narrow roads, and the roundabouts.  Turn-by-turn GPS was a lifesaver. Can't imagine driving without it. I did 710 miles in a week, and would have been lost without it. Drivers seem politer than those in the U.S., but the roads are 2 feet narrower, so it's an experience!  Make sure you have a GOOD contact number for the office/ accident reporting.  The one on the website goes to Muzak and stays there.

A very good rental experience with great communication. I was emailed and called before my reservation which was super helpful as I booked via a 3rd party and the address they gave me was incorrect. This made sure I found the location with ease and the service and cars were first class. Would highly recommend

Smooth and friendly process, car was just as expected from the reservation, but then they offered an upgraded car at the same price - even better. Sebastian answered all my questions and showed me the cars before picking one.  I was concerned about other poor reviews, but it seems likes things have turned around.

easy to find and good location, friendly personnel. Unfortunately, I was talked into additional insurance. We reserved BMW and got and Audi which is ok. What really bothered us was that the baby seat was wrong size and it took us 45 min. to install. The staff said they cannot help  us due to insurance reasons. On our trip we then noticed why the seat was so difficult to install - there was a knot in the strap. Nevertheless, seat was a little too small for us even though I provided age, height and weight of our child. Car was obviously used for a wedding before and had still still glass beads all over. So my resume is the sixt office in Edinburgh cannot be compared to the one I am used to in Munich Germany. Cars are not as clean, handover with baby seat was obviously poor, we had to wait longer and were talked into additional insurance.
