No one hit wonder!! The food is genuinely delicious, refreshing to find a takeaway/delivery that impresses time after time Dietary restrictions: I asked for an ingredient to be left out as I can be unwell, sometimes it is mixed in, Not from the Sitar
Absolutly awful customer service, i was shouted at and lied to by the man answering the phone who argued both delivery and his contacting me before dropping the call. I subsequently did not recieve my order or an apology
Just had a delivery from Sitar. Food arrived half an hour early and piping hot. Absolutely lovely - the best garlic Naan bread ever and all our curries very tasty. Worked out about £15 a head for curry, rice, bread and poppadoms so very reasonable as well.
My partner and I adore this place. We have ordered from them a few times now and the food is so tasty!! Great sized portions and good prices as well as quality food. Very rare you get that combination. They are very good for vegans too as the gentleman on the phone knew exactly what dishes were suitable. Quick service as well though the food is totally worth waiting for! Give them a go you won't regret it.
Yet another delicious takeout, delivered on time and a delight to eat. Have been a customer at the sitar for many years now and will continue to be so for many more to come .
Miss the restaurant, the staff and the welcome, but the quality hasn't changed in over 25 years that we have been enjoying the service. The best Indian food in South London, nothing comes close.
The food at Sitar is of very high quality. Always tastes delicious and delivers very generous portions. The owners are very lovely and we always have a very friendly service when our food is delivered. Today we even had our order 20 minutes earlier than expected which was great ! We will continue to order from Sitar and would definitely recommend it to everyone.
Best takeaway in the area, I love there food excellent service and always clean definitely recommend it.
I'm so glad I didn't give credit to the negative reviews here and I ordered home delivery food from Sitar; definitely as good as Indian food gets, generous portions of yummy tasteful food cooked like grandma would, also easy to digest, sign that they use good ingredients and they pay attention in preparing their meals. Sitar definitely stands out from the multitude of uninviting takeaways that seems to proliferate in Portland Road; I'm planning to order food regularly from them making it our family weekly treat, big thumb up :-
