Always had a great meal here. The menu is really good, varied and offering plenty of delicate dishes from Mauritius as well as the usual. Also, for nut allergy sufferers, I have a bad nut allergy and have never had a problem here. The're very knowledgeable and will prepare you a dish with nuts, without them safely if that makes sense!. Been going for years. Love it.
As a part-Mauritian family we have long struggled to find amazing Mauritian food in London. Little did we know, it was right on our doorstep! Neo-India serves the most amazing food and at reasonable prices. Our two year old found plenty to eat and the staff went to great lengths to keep her smiling throughout. We will definitely be back!
We were very pleased to find this little Indian restaurant last night, they had a great deal on with a free starter each if you order two mains/rice or naan each/side to share. For starters we had the prawn and lamb chops, the prawns had an incredible flavour and the marinade on the lamb was to die for. I had the curry with pumpkin which was really good and the peshawari naan was especially good. Eating the leftovers for lunch now and will definitely be back!
I went here about a month ago for an escape with my friend as I was in dire need for some space away from reality. The restaurant was quiet and so tranquil; I could collect my thoughts and get lost in the placid atmosphere. The food was exquisite and the deals are shocking. Staff are friendly, pricing is reasonable and would be good place for a first date. It caters for all palettes, as I am a fussy eater but was spoilt for choice when presented with the menu. I would advocate such a place for couples, groups and individuals who desire to unwind. To wine and dine in peace with a soothing feeling around the room of low undertone of humming conversation. I would go here again and again
Dined there on Sat 16th Nov 2013. Delicious Mauritian and Indian food. Very authentic. We had Dhall Puri and tried their famous Crab Soup for starters. Tasted exactly like Mauritian food. We then had Vindaloo and Biryani for mains. Delicious. This is how Vindaloo should be cooked. Very spicy and hot. The service was exceptional and very friendly. Really felt at home. The restaurant is lovely inside and romantic. I shall be recommending this restaurant to my friends and family and will be returning again. Highly recommended.
Terrible food, pricey, small portions very small skinny pieces of chicken or meat about 4 pieces with lots of onions and tomatoes - costing £7.50 to £9.80. Rice portions are like kids size and expensive. Customer service was good though but if you're looking for good value for money and nice food, don't bother.
We witnessed the waiter topping up used chutney trays and using the same spoon that a previous customer had used. Just wiped a dirty cloth around it and topped up. Made manager aware who ignored the fact it is was happening so we left. A real risk of spreading germs.
What I ate wasn't Mauritian cuisine, well not the meat menu anyway; but, for typical Indian restaurant food it is up there with the best I've had. Well worth a visit.
Interesting, delicious authentic flavours. Excellent service and relaxed atmosphere. Portions a little small for the price but I definitely recommend coming here.
The owner was the perfect host and the food was delicious! Definitely going back soon.
