Fantastic quirky little bar in the centre of the city. Samuel Smith's, so ridiculous how cheap it is, well under £6 for 2 pints. Great beer garden weather permitting obviously Inside 1 no dogs shame they are catered for outside. 2 no swearing 3 no mobile phones! At all! You might be asked to leave if you don't get off it. They encourage conversation! How novel. Ancient pub, full of history from the 14th century, even accepts none cash now. Half the price of the one next door.
Bar in the historical building located in the city center offering also outside seating area. We spent there nice sunny afternoon and it was full of people. Just few drinks from which I would mention organic beer. There is no service outside but it is still worth an experience. There are also tables located inside. Vegetarian options: Available.
Horrible staff make you feel stupid for asking the difference in beers they sell. Shouted at to put phone away when trying to pay contactless. Then shouted at upstairs again we were the only two people there to get off your phone, note we were googling and not on a call. Final straw, put all the chairs up around us 1 hour before closing, what a joke
I didn't have the chance to try the food at Sinclair's Oyster Bar, but I can say that the staff is friendly and welcoming, and they helped us pick out some great beers. The pub has three seating areas: an outdoor area, a seating area by the main entrance, and an upstairs area. If it's raining, you may need to stand inside, as the seating is a bit tight. I really liked the idea of the pub displaying a sign that says "Digital Devices Banned." This encourages people to be more social and less immersed in their phones. The pub has two bars, and you pay inside and then sit wherever you want. Overall, I had a positive experience at Sinclair's Oyster Bar. It's a great place to go for a drink with friends or family and chat. I would recommend it, especially if you're looking for a pub with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Here are some specific things I liked about Sinclair's Oyster Bar: * Friendly and welcoming staff * Helpful staff who can help you pick out beers * Three seating areas, including an outdoor area * Digital devices banned, which encourages social interaction * Two bars, so you can pay inside and sit wherever you want Here are some things to keep in mind: * Inside seating is a bit tight, so you may need to stand if it's raining * The food menu is limited, so it's not the best place to go for a full meal Overall, I would recommend Sinclair's Oyster Bar to anyone looking for a friendly and relaxed place to have a drink with friends or family.
Really nice place in good weather, not really explored the interior but the beer is nice and they offer some of the most inexpensive prices in the area...Service: 4/5
Nice priced beer in a nice pub. Unfortunately on our visit just after the new year, the staff decided to leave the front door wide open, when it was 6 degrees outside. So upped sticks to find a warmer pub.Service: 5/5
Large Sam smiths pub in central Manchester. What happens when Sam smiths come to the big city? They get ‘roided up and take card payments! Still no phones, music or swearing though. They’ve now combined double 4 and the 2% alpine to make a stronger alpine lager. Fitted out as you’d expect to Sam smiths usual spec’. I only drank a pair of beers but it’s possible to have lunch or supper. Good prices and service. The building, which is so beautiful its outdoor, has two floors and there are lots of tables in different rooms.
Decent food, no oysters though which was a disappointment. Food was brought in good time and tasted nice and fresh. Staff a little unfriendly but not rude. Pub has a great aesthetic and good atmosphere. Had the Whitby Scampi with Chips, my partner had the fish goujons.Food: 4/5
Nice pub. We went for a couple of drinks. It was Thursday night and it was still quite busy. Good atmosphere and we enjoyed our drinks.Service: 5/5
