Food was great, beer selection was great, neat tudor style pub

the best carrots i’ve ever had! the environment is truly historic, and gin palace is quite a draw as well. i ordered a toad in the hole, which was spot on for around £10. the CARROTS though... ideal! earthy on the skin but soft enough to chew with your tongue. very impressive!

The oldest pub you will find in Manchester 1500's is still one of the best to visit in the city centre. Comfortable & warm atmosphere you can certainly feel the history of the pub when you walk through the door. Lots of real ales & traditional beers on draught staff were friendly and quick to serve overall highly recommended.

Beautiful "Old World" Pub /Restaurant in the heart of the modern and vibrant city centre. Good range of traditional pub fayre at reasonable prices. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options available. Very friendly, helpful and efficient service from our waitress, Victoria, on our visit Monday early evening.
