They have attended to our concerns with courtesy and any needed repairs to the property were carried out promptly and professionally. Also the property management team were quick to respond to our needs and provide us with excellent service and support throughout our tenancy.

Urgently needed a rental property. Speedy and very efficient service, advised throughout the process. Very impressed. Excellent ongoing service in terms of managing the rental agreement for the property and dealing with any queries. Highly recommended.

I am very disappointed with the service I received, I have been buying property for the last 15 years and this is the first time I have experienced what I can only describe as gazumping.  I Sale Agreed on a property with Simon Brien approx. 2 weeks ago in good faith, instructed solicitors as the property had been agreed to myself and awaited the memorandums of Sale, I took it to be that perhaps they were coping with a large amount of paperwork overspill with the Easter Holidays so I didn't force the issue clearly this was not the case.  I received a phone call yesterday to tell me that I had been outbid on the property I had Sale Agreed some 2 weeks ago.  I relayed my frustrations and then was forced to partake in a bidding war for the property in which I had previously Sale Agreed as I was very keen to proceed with the purchase, £20,600 higher than my original Sale Agreed price was my best and final offer on the property.  Unfortunately it was not enough to secure the property.  The only advice I have to anyone considering buying through Simon Brien is beware.  I find it utterly appalling that Simon Brien and their representatives feel that this is an acceptable way in which to conduct Sales in this day and age.  Agreeing a property For Sale with Simon Brien does not mean the property is Sale Agreed to you. BEWARE.

I'm writing specifically to counter the frankly absurd negative review recently accorded by "PJ Swain". I'm the seller of the property he's complaining bitterly about, and I can confidently assert that a) Simon Brien have acted throughout with 100% professionalism, b) that he, as an estate agent himself, would have acted no differently, and c) that if he has ire to direct, he ought to direct it against me, not the firm I employed to conduct the sale of one of my buildings.

Briefly, this gentleman initially underbid against my asking price in a fairly transparent attempt to circumvent stamp duty, then eventually offered me the asking price. I told the agent that I was minded to accept it, but just a couple of days later the agent called to notify me that another interested party also wanted the building and had offered substantially more. Now, it is enshrined in legislature that a property agent MUST relay any and all offers up to the point of contract exchange, so what precisely was Simon Brien supposed to do? Withhold the information and then tell me later "oh we had a better offer for you but sure we figured we'd keep it secret!" Hardly - they HAD to notify me of a better offer and, with a recent brain tumour diagnosis and my first child on the way, there was no way I wasn't going to instruct them to extract maximum value from my investment at a time when every penny counted. Thereafter the decision was mine and mine alone - I have sufficient experience buying and selling properties in London, Birmingham, Merseyside and Belfast to know exactly how to manage a deal; Simon Brien were there to find buyers and assist me in the process, but the decisions were mine, and this man would have done exactly the same. Unless perhaps he wants us to believe that he'd have declined an ultimate profit of tens of thousands of pounds on some spurious principle? I highly doubt that. 

Essentially, Simon Brien were instructed by me to sell one of my properties, and they did so expertly, efficiently and highly professionally. Sam Dickey, with whom I've worked before, is one of the few property professionals in Belfast whom I 100% trust, and Lana, his colleague, has been the very definition of helpful efficiency, and a delight to deal with. Perhaps the individual leaving negative feedback believes I should have turned down much more for my property than he was prepared to offer, but there isn't a soul in the city who would have acted any differently, and I don't believe for a second he would have either. Personally, I have no experience of buying through Simon Brien (although I have previously purchased 2 properties through Sam, and he was equally fantastic in this capacity) but as a seller this experience has been unparalleled for the ease and added value they've brought to the process. Seriously, whether a homeowner or investor / developer, you could do a lot worse than instructing these guys.

Rotten people to the core!  Property management are never available and ignorant when you eventually get through.  They speak to you like you are nothing and they do nothing.  Emails and messages are ignored, rude unprofessional people, and Susan the accounts manager needs sacked for the way she spoke to my son, avoid avoid avoid.
