If you're shopping for plants, seeds or gifts, then Kings Sidmouth has a massive range to choose from. If you're after good coffee and great tasting food, then you'll be a bit disappointed. The shop is big with everything you can imagine for the garden, and that includes dogs, cats and birds aswell. Outdoor furniture for the patio and BBQ's galore for those summer outdoor fry ups. Outdoor torches, garden pots znx plants of every variety. They also gave a small range of organic seeds on offer. The cafe is damn big and I would imagine it fills up on the weekend. The outdoor deck makes for a chilled out coffee and cake break. We had the Devonshire scone and cream which was good, however the double chocolate cake was dry, had fake cream and wasn't worth finishing. The coffee at best was a 5/10 and almost didn't taste like coffee. You'll have to head to Sidmouth for better coffee. The portion sizes are generous at the cafe which is a plus, and you're allowed to have your 4 legged friends with you aswell on the deck, just not in the cafe. There is plenty of parking and quite a few disabled parks. Overall i'd go back if shopping for my dog or if I was after garden bits and pieces.
It's a lovely garden centre. The staff are very nice and friendly. They have a cafe with good food all day. It's not as big as some garden centres, but what it lacks in size, it makes up in friendship from the staff. Give it a visit and you will return many times after.
2 friends and i ate here Sunday 5th March 2024. My veggi roast was the best I've ever eaten. Plate & food piping hot, roast had chestnuts with other nuts, served with roast pots, carrots, swede, cauli, cabbage, red cabbage, gravy and a red jelly served separately. Staff were most welcoming and very efficient, even though it was extremely busy lunchtime. Thank you King's.
This is a lovely garden centre to visit if in the area...We stopped off here for something to eat & drink when we were down in Devon on one of our many regular trips to the beautiful county...It has a lovely big restaurant with plenty of seating both inside & outside with lovely views,it is all kept beautifully clean & the staff are all very nice & welcoming....The garden centre itself has all the usual flowers, gardening equipment & gifts, something for everyone...Well worth a visit if you are in the area...
After Kings took over Sidmouth Garden Centre which was awesome, it's taken a while for Kings to come even close to compare. But now things have turned around and they've found their groove and it is now a really nice place to shop. I've bought really good Christmas trees from there and lots of present buying.
It's a nice little garden centre with a shop and a good cafe. The staff are always cheerful, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, it's on a steep slope, and pushing a wheelchair around the plants outside is almost impossible. There is a flat covered area with some plants though.
Decent place to get all your basics, and a bit more. Reasonable pricing and many offers to be found.Foods good too.
A lovely garden centre in a good location that has ample free parking that sell a great range of everything you could possibly need for your garden plus much more, nice restaurant that sell a good range of hot meals, sandwiches, cakes as well as hot & cold beverages, plus nice staff to assist you with any help or advice you need before making that final decision on a purchase.
The first time coming here, the garden centre is ok, it just depends on what you're looking for, really, after entering the restaurant was pleasantly surprised by all the selection of food on offer I ordered the full English breakfast, Overall satisfaction was good. The only things I thought could do with a little freshen are the toilets, quite horrendous, really. And the restaurant definitely needs a lick of something?
Ample parking. However on quite a slope if you have mobility issues. Large enough to hold good stock and small enough to feel personal and friendly. Lovely restaurant area with very nice outside seating area overlooking the countryside
