About

Family run, we are all about finest ingredients to make traditional fish and chips at their best.

Story

We buy the finest quality Cod from the clean arctic waters around Iceland, Faro Islands and Norway that is MSC certified as sustainably managed. Our large Haddock is from Whitby market then delivered fresh to us, some of the finest haddock in the country!
Our potatoes are sourced whenever possible from local farms.

Every morning we prepare and cut around 20 stone of cod for that day and prepare around half of a tonne of potatoes and we hand check every one!!

Our pies and sausages are hand made by Cannon Hall Farm Shop, Cawthorne, using the finest quality meat from local, high quality farms.

I would highly recommend it. Always busy. Friendly staff. (As usual, chips are not cooked long enough for me. I prefer darker but most places are like that nowadays. Maybe it's cos they don't use lard anymore? ) 😁

Very good fish and chips. To quote my w8fe "one of the nicest fish suppers she has ever had", and she is really into her fish (fried, grilled or whatever). Quick friendly service. Not the cheapest, but good vakue for the quality. If we are back in the area we will be sure to visit again.

Been here quite a few times now. The fish is fresh and tasty. Portions generous too. The staff are extremely polite and service quick. Cant wait till my next visit.

Best fish I've had in years , the shop is clean and looks really well run , the food smelt amazing, although I only had a fish butty it was fantastic, fresh and cooked to perfection, exactly as I remember fish from my childhood, will definitely be back to try the chips to , it's not the cheapest fish and chips I've seen but well worth the money

Great fish n chips. Word of warning they come in boxes so not traditional any more and don't expect them to still be warm when you get home like they were in paper so they go via the microwave which takes away from the taste somewhat. Better to eat in the shop or if you live very close.
