We visited Keelings Fish & Chips on Friday for the first time! Absolutely loved our food. Didn’t have to wait long. Batter was so light on the fish. Service was fab! Will definitely be back! Especially amazing if your gluten free!
First time trying here. I looked for reviews on the best chippy around, and this came up as number 1. Well, I have to say we were not disappointed! Light crispy batter, and not thick ,which can sometimes be off-putting. Chips were cooked well and not greasy. And the curry sauce was the cherry on the top! 100% will be back soon and will definitely recommend
I put in a lunch order for a group of 25, the staff went the extra mile to meet our request: everyone was happy with their food! The staff were super friendly and made everything easy to arrange. They cater well for gluten free as well which is a plus.
Lovely food!! Meaty well cooked haddock and tasty chips. I wasn’t the only customer to find the menu board a bit confusing as it stated to let servers know if you are gluten free. When I mentioned this I was told everything is gluten free except the bread cakes. Recently diagnosed coeliacs take note the HP sauce is not gluten free.nA little concerned that the temperature probe used for fish was not sanitised between use. Potentially a food safety issue not a cross contamination issue.nEverything considered I would definitely go back.
Under new management. Food remains excellent curry sauce is unchanged!. Staff are very nice. Now accepts card payments! Overcharged, but fixed immediately staff double-checked it - fixing mistakes and honesty - can'targue with that! Good luck to the new team! Hope Ian is doing well if reading!
