The accommodation was OK, a bit tired maybe, and the kitchen was small. Lovely lady in the shop, but very disappointed that we were not able to bring the dog into the entertainment centre. Even though there were heaters outside, it was too cold to stay too long, and we had football blasting at us each time we went there. I would not recommend staying here if you have dogs, due to the lack of inclusion and facilities for them. On the plus side, the magnificent beach was very close by
It was a nice experience visiting the local area. The chalet needed more improvements though. Sometimes the heaters didn’t work the timers didn’t seem to function.nnI had a nail near the outer bottom of my shower which could cause an injury.nnDogs hairs on the door and bedding when we first walked in. The staff were friendly.
Never again.nOn arrival our van wasn’t ready, no problem time to look around!nThis site is in need of a revamp, the outside bar area looks lovely but wasn’t open. What a poor show for an arcade, hardly any games working or turnt on! Floor sticky and rotten.nWhen we got to the caravan, I was horrified! Flies, the smell was something I won’t forget in a long time, ripped curtains, mouldy bathroom, dirty blinds, rusty radiator, the list could go on! I went back round to reception to which the lady replied we are fully booked we can’t move you, I will get some air freshener for you!! They did replace the curtains also. The sofa bed in the front room didn’t come out, the walls were all ripped, cupboard doors hanging off. The fridge door didn’t close properly. Caravan 335 is in need of a deep clean.nWe was luckily visiting family so didn’t have to stay in van and my children didn’t stay in the van either!nAbsolute shambles and waste of money.
We have stayed at a number of John Fowler caravan parks in the past and this wasn't the best to be honest. Firstly the caravan was clean and tidy, however could probably do with a few updates considering it was a gold caravan the mattress was terrible. Also it rained quite a bit and our pathway and under the caravan flooded each time. The entertainment was ok but the beer served in the lounge was horrible 3 pints we had to send back. There isn't a lot to do in the area and the beach was fine but you wouldn't want to let yourself or your dog in the sea. Personally I will never go back.
We've had an amazing stay at sandy glade, the chalet was spotless we were very lucky to get put right by the kids play area and swimming pool.nnThe highlight for us tho is the evening entertainment, as a single parent with two children 8&13 they catered for us all every night was incredible and so much fun! The stripey team are amazing! A special mention for tori she's one of the loveliest people I've met and her singing voice is amazing xxx
