Good close access to beach. Great for dogs. Café and bar on site which was closed for 2 days of our stay for filming. Wasn't told about this until we arrived.nMay please some people but personally won't be going back.
What a lovely little gem!nWe ended up here VERY last minute after we hated another holiday park that we had originally booked, the lady working reception was an absolute gem, we ended up in a 'bronze' caravan but it was much more like silver! I can't imagine what their silver/gold offers!nWe had everything we needed and more, the caravan was well stocked with kitchen bits and pieces to cook with, my only gripe is that the oven didn't have any markings so working out the gas numbers was a bit of a guessing game but we managed!nnThe staff working there are lovely, the park is right on the edge of the beach so it was a literal 1 minute if that walk to get onto the sandy beach, the caravan was cosy but spacious 3 bedrooms + sofa bed!, with a little decking which the dog enjoyed!nnWe didn't eat at the cafe in the end but again the staff in there couldn't have been any friendlier and the menu did look tempting!nnNot far in the car from a local large tesco and on the second to last day we discovered a morrisons daily and 2 amusement arcades about a 10/15 minute walk away as well as a chip shop.nnLovely, quiet caravan site and we would be happy to stay again.nnA huge thank you to the lady on reception who sorted us out with emergency last minute accomodation and was very thoughtful and kind despite my obvious distress when we first arrived! You're a credit to yourself and the company, apologies but I didn't catch your name but you'll know who you are!
Very nice caravans super clean great views 30 seconds from beach bar 1 minute from beach service welcome very good. Very quite sore to Small issue no shop on site however well recommended 100%
Just returned from Beachside having never been to Brean or this site before but it's very well placed for the beach especially if you have a dog. There is everything you'd need locally with take aways, local supermarkets and entertainment close by. The staff were very welcoming and it's a nice small site. We hired Mendip View which is a large modern lodge with three bedrooms. It was very clean and has pretty much everything you'd need. Nice touches are things like supplying washing tablets it has a utility with washing machine and dishwasher tabs etc. Also a little packet with a ball and chews for the dog. As it was during the week out of season it was really quiet too which was perfect for us.nnThe reasons it's not quite a 5 star review and only 4 is there were a few niggles. Mendip View is not a cheap place to hire as you would expect with it's size and amenities, but you can't park near it to unload your car. There is a reserved space but it's a fair walk with your arms full etc. Many of the caravans you can't park next to, which is the next niggle, as luckily we went when the surrounding caravans were all empty, but they are very close so I wouldn't like to go in high season when it's full of families and children as I can imagine it gets quite noisy. I also wanted to mention the bedding as although it's supplied but towels aren't oddly the beds aren't made up when you arrive which I would expect from a holiday home. I don't mind stripping them before leaving but making them up is a pain, especially when it's flat sheets not fitted that barely fit the beds on top of what seemed like slippery waterproof mattress protectors on an uncomfortable bed with a duvet that wasn't big enough to hang over the side or the ends. Last couple of niggles would be the lack of DVD player even though it's mentioned thankfully I bought my own and that we seemingly had another dog on the park that liked to mess outside our lodge and the owners didn't pick it up so I had to in case they thought it was my dog and kept my £80 deposit.nnI definitely would stay here again as it's a lovely place and a great location, maybe not in Mendip View, I'd pick one of the caravans you can park next to or the beach bungalow etc.
We stayed in a Seaview caravan, and the views were lovely.Only a short walk to beach. Will definitely go again
