It is what it is. If you want 5 star accommodation, go to a 5 star hotel, not Pontins. It's a bit run down, the chalets are small, not everything works all the time but there is loads to do for kids, the entertainment in the evening is cheesy as hell but it's free and enjoyable. It is a cheap, family friendly holiday park, delivers what it says on the tin, no frills but the kids can run around like lunatics and it will give them some great childhood memories. And it's a damn sight better than Haven!

Please be aware, this place needs money spending on it. Accommodation: double glazed unites are blowen with mist trapped inside. Cleaning is very poor standard, this is present within all accommodation I was aloud to view on attempting to be moved. Mould on window frames,curtains,and bathroom..... Seriously needs all units deep cleaning and maintaining. Do not come....... I ended up buying all products to address this matter and amazingly it took very little effort to bring up to standard. Must say night entertainment was good for us, as dancing grannies.....

Went with the family for a week away. Was average. My apartment was not dirty. Was not brand new so was not perfect but was ok and overall we enjoyed our stay. The kids were entertained during the day and evening in to the night. The blue coats were always willing to keep the kids happy and they had great fun. It was a good holiday for a budget price

Please do not even think about enjoying your holiday and spending your hard earned money on a holiday with Pontins Brean Sands. I seriously urge you to book elsewhere if, you expect even a basic duty of care and cleanliness. I am Not exaggerating. We booked ignoring the critics assuming them to be unjustified. We were wrong. Three chalet exchanges. Filthy smelly unkempt accommodation. The Urine and vomit stained materesses finally forced us to check out same day! With a waiting period of 28 days for a possible refund do not expect further help. You're on you own. if you have already booked-like we had-make sure your standards are low and take extra money to pay for fantastic, reasonably priced accommodation at a moment notice at The Unity Park resort. Pontins Brean Sands? Holiday maker beware. All the comments below saying to my utter bewilderment stating that you get what you pay for, good value for a budget accommodation?? Are you insane??? 3 to 4 stars??? The management are helping to a point and are very sympathetic, but that will not pay for emergency accommodation at 8 o'clock at night with a wife and two children. Signing off to enjoy the rest of our holiday on another holiday park. You have been advised.

The whole site is a bit run down and tired. Facilities are a bit grubby, accommodation is generally clean where you hope, but mould around windows. Positive points : most of the staff are friendly and helpful, but many of them are not well informed about opening times and the help desk didn't really seem that enthusiastic. However, it is really cheap, so gets a point for value for money, just know what you are getting for your money. Swimming pool is pretty good and hot, but changing rooms were filthy with mould growing on the ceiling. Go offsite for food and spend time on the lovely beach and it'll be fine!
