This is a proper studio with proper people making proper costumes and more. The degeee of skill, imagination and craft you find here is unprecedented. And all delivered in a kindly neighbourly way - that reflects kindly on the lovely heritage and people of Rotherhide. Shafted and torn apart by development this really has the spirit of this lovely part of London imprinted on the people inside, its building and all that happens within it's historic walls. Long may it continue to enrich us.

Skip Leicester Square Odeon and check out the Sands Studios film club. They host regular film nights in a small room - with a chat afterwards. Worth checking out just to meet the regulars. Is part of a community run studio that's produced costumes for some major films. Ship pub near by is perfect for post&pre drinks - but arrive early to get a coffee and survey the scene.

Sands Films Studio is located in the heart of Rotherhithe Village. It's an amazing place with lovely people running the place. They also host the Rotherhithe Picture Research Library.
