Recently refurbished, the Salmon Inn now offers great home-made food, prepared from scratch, alongside fantastic cask ales and a wide wine selection.

My husband and I and 2 friends called in for a meal.We all had different dishes ,everyone loved what they had.Lovely desserts too. Friendly staff and chilled atmosphere.

We went here for lunch in the Easter holidays. It was freezing. The barman did point out after sometime his boiler had broken down. There was a huge fireplace which had some smoking coals in it, it should have been roaring it would have made all the difference. The food was ok. Got the feeling the staff couldnt be bothered. On this experience we won't go back.

Been back to the salmon inn again had the haggis and steak pie first class staff 1st class beer great if you dont like this pub stay in the house open fire great top chef top food 5 star plus

Negative: had the roast beef. Yorkshire pud was cold. 1 single roast. Lumpy mash. Dry. No-one bothered to ask us during the meal how things were. When we did point this out when we were paying, the staff member wasn't concerned. Positive: the meat was nice and so was the other veg. Doubt we'll be back.
