7.95 for a three course lunch, which is very good value for some pretty good food. Incredible number of waiting staff, none of which seemed to have any training. Be prepared for a bit of chaos and some weird/ loud music choices. Can’t complain about value however
We’ve been here a few times on an annual Berwick visit. The 3 course budget lunch is excellent value for money. I had a chicken, tomato and cheese dish that was delicious.nnRestaurant was quieter than previous years and service was chaotic with people trying their best but lacked direction. Service also painfully slow, apart from when bill was presented to the table before deserts and coffees had been served.nnFinal straw for me is that they’ve decided to be a cash only business. When I asked why some mumbled excuse about card machines not working. This has been true since March at least so as far as I’m concerned this is a choice, not a temporary glitch. . Can’t help wonder if that’s part of the reason it was noticeably quieter.
My husband brought me to Limoncello for lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the three-course meal for less than £8. We had potato skins and pasta, though pizza was also an option, followed by a scoop of ice cream. The food was quite good. However, our drinks were served after we had already finished our appetizers. The place got really busy as we were leaving. We will probably go back to try the Sunday roast lunch.
Nice looking place, menu is quite decent. GF options available not on pizza, service was a tad slow would be my only gripe. However, would recommend
Pleasantly surprised!nnMost of the negative reviews I checked before coming notes how service was slow, but it wasn’t a huge issue for me, even on a busy Friday. Waiters were nice and friendly, all on the younger side and put in their full effort and made good conversation.nnThe food and atmosphere are great, with shockingly great prices. Highly recommend the Pizzas and Arabbiata pasta here. The tuna servings were also much bigger than expected. And check out this cheese on pizza that looks like a heart!!
