We visit the leaping salmon often when we come to Berwick. Service is great and the food is always really nice, I especially recommend the breakfast. I tried the fish and chips here the other day and it was amazing and served hot and fresh. Great value for money and lovely staff
Just had breakfast as the riverside cafe was closed and thought we'd give this a try. What an absolute disappointment cold plates, cold beans, cold toast infact everything was cold except the sausages which had been microwaved probably from the night before, hotter than the sun inside and had managed to delminate the meat from the now leather jacket that surrounded it. Hopefully the riverside cafe is open tomorrow won't be coming back here!! Nobody checked on us or they would have been told and looking at the rest of the reviews about food I'm not the only one.nJudging by the reply I can see you like to blame the customer rather than looking at your own problem's.
Great pub, the food was plenty and hearty on such a cold evening in the northeast.nThe service was simple and through an app, straight to the table.nIt was free pool night, so plenty of other customers enjoying playing pool.
Ate here recently with family. None of us could finish our meals it was that bad, which was a shame as we’ve visited this pub a few times in the past when in Berwick and it was quite nice. It’s now rundown and stinks of wet dog. Loads of clearly made up 5 star reviews all mysteriously mentioning the staff by name which is a bit odd. You know a place is bad when you need to make up your own positive reviews.
Wetherspoon chain. Wonderful sport bar: lots of screen and the area with an individual screen at the table. Reasonable price and various drinks promotion. Great location by the river service is nice and fast. Fish and chips was really nice. unfortunately, Steak was overcooked. We were there two nights in a row that says it all....
