This place offers reasonably priced food with no frills. We had burgers on the deal and they were cheap but quite dry and looked a little lost on the big plate.nnWe ordered on the app, which is widely publicised, yet our food came before the drinks and, when mentioned to the person delivering the food, this seemed to be a common problem.nnThe main issue was sitting amongst so many tables with glasses and plates not cleared for ages, leaving us with the feeling the place was poorly managed.
Formerly a Wetherspoon pub. It has the same Wetherspoon appearance, and the beers and menus are basically the Wetherspoon setup. Quite spacious inside. Nice food and pleasant staff.
Just popped in. It is technically dog friendly according to all the signs but the layout is more like a restaurant, so made me feel uneasy about sitting anywhere with our two big dogs. Had a couple of real ales in which is great to see. Would definitely go back but not with our dogs our issue here, not there's, but we know our boys can be very excitable. Didn't have food but the layout is very much encouraging food to be served at every table. Maybe next time when we don't have the dogs.nnSo we revisited The Salmon yesterday and found it to be an excellent experience. On entering the bar there was a dog water station with a bowl and some dog biscuits. This immediately made us feel comfortable. We sat outside with our pooch and enjoyed a couple of real ales. We had Katsu Curry and it was very good at a decent price. It was definitely worth giving the place a second chance.
One of my favourite places to go out for food and drinks in Berwick, staff are always friendly, Martin and Zoey are both stars : and drinks and food are always so tasty :
Lovely place with great food!nI opted for the King Kebab and was politely informed there’d be a bit of a wait — which wasn’t a problem at all. The food arrived in a reasonable time and was absolutely delicious.nnEven though staff had clearly communicated there would be a delay due to how busy it was, I noticed quite a few customers still asking where their food was. I thought that was a bit unfair to the team, who were clearly working hard to accommodate everyone.nnDespite the pressure, the staff handled everything really well — they remained professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout. I tip my hat to them. Great service!
