This place has changed a lot. I think the selection of food is way better than it was. They have more 'world food' with some great herbs and spices at good prices. They now have a Patisserie Valerie section which is lovely. Gorgeous cakes! They have a revamped coffee shop plus another coffee area and a sushi bar. They have an Argos on site. They have done away with the pharmacy.

In some respects, the store needed something done to it as it looked tired, but not sure if I like ALL of them. It's nice to see the clothing section more open and I think I even saw an addition of a changing room. The cafe looks like it's been improved, but have heard that the prices have been increased dramatically, shame because so many nursing homes and day centres use Sainsbury's, Hove as a trip out and taking even more money from people that are struggling already. You used to be able to get your bread cut by the staff, but now you have to do it yourself. The staff say it was done to save them time, but so many people don't know what to do as the instructions cannot be easily seen so they end up doing it anyway. Or, customers are wary to use the slicing machine. For me I think it is unhygienic. We all carry germs, first we get them from the handles of the trolleys and we all know of the millions of bacteria they carry, then we are handling products to place in the trolley from raw meats to multi packs of juice etc. Then you grab your bread you want sliced, use the handle to open the guard and place the bread inside after you have removed the original packaging, oh and don't leave it behind as you have to fold it and put it inside the new packaging with the bar code showing. Therefore the bread you take home could be contaminated with god knows what? I will not be using it again. The one thing they should have taken time to improve is that mini roundabout. So many people do not have a clue how to use and drive around it. When I indicate right, it means I'm going to the petrol station, but others coming out of the supermarket pay no heed to my signalling and carry on driving anyway, whilst others who just need petrol, ignore the roundabout completely, mostly do not signal and just turn right, not paying any attention to drivers exiting the supermarket. Clearer signage is needed, to make it safer and I'm sorry to say, idiot proof!

Great store, with pretty much everything you’d need. The newly refurbished cafe is lovely, with friendly staff and, actually, really great coffee! You can also get quality food in the cafe too, everything from a hot cross bun to a Sunday roast or a mini cream tea. The supermarket itself is great, there’s a sushi bar, fresh meats and cheeses and all the usual things you’d need. Outside the main entrance there’s a Timsons, who boast they can replace many phone screens while you shop, as well as cut a key or two, and of course there’s an Argos in store too. Be aware though, the in-store Lloyd’s pharmacy is no longer there, so don’t expect to grab a prescription while you’re stocking up on your spinach! Lol.

Went to the new Sainsburys today in Hove, very disappointed . I couldn't scan my food as I was hoping to use cash and your new system isn't so smart for me because I don't want to use my card when I shop. I know this will eventually happen but I'm sure there are lot of older people who will be shopping elsewhere. I used to go to Sainsbury's because I found the experience of scanning food quickly very convenient and rather Pleasant. I don't think I'll be going back now. probably go to another supermarket a little closer to home not worth the journey to stand in a long row with a lot of people when there seems so few tills open now. Sad but true. I don't know how many over 60s have mobile phones anyway although I'm sure you looked into this and reckoned it was still worthwhile in the long run. Bye bye Sainsbury's

My favourite supermarket in Haywards Heath. Great selection of items. Wide aisles. I love the sushi bar. Also has a Starbucks.
