Lovely little spot to go out for the day or even just for a few hours. Has a variety of shops to nip in and out of and such nice views, it is definitely a must go to place. It does get busy very quickly so that is something to just bear in mind, there are quite a few car parks available round and about that are quite close to the centre itself.
The only toilets in ambleside off season, tight carpark entrance for motorhomes
Big enough, lost a star for how painful slow the machines are. Can pay by card, phone or coins. Not too bad on price as it goes.
50p to use the toilet. No soap and dryer not working. A sign tells you how much it costs to run but no mention of the amount of money Ambleside gets from tourism. Poor.
A lovely sheltered car park which is set out well and near to the famous Ambleside House on a bridge. As a disabled user I accessed a parking place and the accessible toilet with my key.
A well placed and roomy car park for getting you close to lakeside. Bays are not exactly large, but just about large enough. The ticket machines are not entirely clear with the instructions for how to use it. As you would expect, you can pay using contactless payment.
Good provided you use the PayByPhone app and avoid other more fiddly options for paying your parking. Handy for hiking. Close to outdoor supplies retailers.
Great place to park. Very short walk and your in town centre. Spaces are tight. But they are on every car park now a days. Safe parking and not to expensive for all day. Toilet on site. 50p charge
I don't think disable badge holder's should pay so much there should be a smaller all day fee
Easy access , long stay, safe , very close to shops and easy access to the start of walks... parked here to walk loughrigg fell and around to the coffin route
