I thought it was pretty good. The rooms varied quite a lot in size, some were spacious with a great view and others were cramped and only had a small window. The self catering area was well equipped but the payed for meals were mediocre, as expected however. Overall I had a smooth experience there and enjoyed my stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights. There were 6 of us and we had booked the 6 bed en-suite room. Absolutely loved the stay here. Easy access to all the walks and attractions. Right next to the water head pier. No complaints whatsoever.

Location is fantastic, looks right onto the lake. The hostel has been upgraded, the room was clean and well decorate. Facilities were clean and modern. The restaurant was quite good and at reasonable prices. Staff helpful and friendly

A very popular hostel for obvious reasons. Very clean and in a great location with good amenities. You may have some fun looking for parking on site, but the main car park for Waterhead isn't too far away and isn't too pricey either.

Amazing views of Lake Windermere, clean and comfortable, excellent self catering kitchen facilities, and for those looking for a little bit of luxury there's a bar and restaurant all under one roof. Recommended for budget holiday makers. Suitable for everyone looking to explore the lakes or climb the most challenging mounting.
