Always a pleasure to head down to the delivery office to collect packages. I often ignore TNT, my legendary postman, when he rings the bell, just so I can nip down the road and chat to Chris and Tyrone under the guise of missing my delivery yet again! These guys need to be paid what they deserve. Yet another public service on it's knees, run into the ground by the shambolic Tory government. The Tories should pay up then p*ss off.
Went here as Royal Mail customer service told me it is Hornsey Delivery Office and google says the same however, the very polite staff told me this is actually Upper Holloway delivery office and they don’t handle my mail. No one seems to know where Hornsey delivery office is so I guess that package is lost. Staff friendly and doing their best, Royal Mail shockingly bad.
Such lovely staff working in the office. They always have a huge smile on their face and go above and beyond to help. I’ve never been in there and been met with a grumpy person. I want whatever they have in the mornings
Not happy with this service at all. Been waiting on a delivery from Australia, been tracking it on eBay, and says awaiting collection, which is fine, as knew there would be a a custom fee to pay. BUT NOTHING IN THE POST TO INFORM ME OF THIS, AND TODAY I RING UP ROYALMAIL, TO BE TOLD ITS BEING SENT BACK TO AUSTRALIA. THIS SERVICE IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE.
Chris was so lovely when I went to pick up my package! Cracking jokes and genuine smile never left! Was dreading going here but really happy I did!
Serious issues with this delivery centre. The stories I have to tell would shame any decent employee who would care for the bare minimum, because these ones don't even do that!!! Let alone how rude most of them are even after they have caused you great trouble!
staff are amazing in this one, its a shame they are treated so bad by management . it was much better before they reduced the opening hours. Rather than collect, I now have to have everything redirected. Useless management in this country
parcel containing a phone has mysteriously disappeared, manager of this S-hole was no help at all. one of the royal mail blackholes you want to evade by any means.
I send or receive several packages a week, mostly in person at this office, with no problems at all in almost 3 years. The staff have always been attentive and helpful to me - and Chris in particular is great for a little chat when it’s not too busy. Occasionally they are busy and the process is purely scan and go, but let’s be frank, it’s for sending or collecting mail. By my experience, I feel this post office is slightly unfairly maligned because of reviews chasing missing or undelivered parcels. It seems a bit harsh to pin missing post on this office rather than the actual posties or the service from RM more generally. The last time I was here, someone was getting flustered at the staff because they couldn’t retrieve a parcel where delivery was attempted over a month before, but they were on holiday, and so it was eventually returned to sender as undelivered - but the customer didn’t know who the sender was and just had a missed delivery card. They kept saying the staff had made a mistake, asking why it wasn’t held for redelivery, suggesting it went to the wrong address despite postcode confirmation, demanding to know who the sender was, and eventually stormed off grumbling loudly. I expect this would illicit a 1 star review from said customer.
Completely ridiculous opening hours now. It used to be at least one day opened until after 4pm. How can working person be able to collect delivery?
