I had to queue up for 45 minutes just to pick up an absolutely free passport application form! I suggested to the lady at the counter that there are many forms already on display for people to help themselves to, so why not this form as well. Her stock response was that I should talk her manager! A pity we are more and more into throwing ruke books at people!
Massive queues all day everyday. Even when the doors open, only 1 person at the tills. The others find that when there are 20 people in the queue, it's a good time to rearrange the mess around the tills rather than serve customers. Don't go here if you have plans right after as you are definitely going to be late!
Could give -5 starts to this branch. Very slow staff, understaffed, one of worst post offices ever. Saturday morning and about 50 people in the queue. 2 tills open. One of which is sorting packaging, helping self-service tills, etc. Post Office do you realise this branch shoukd have much more staff in order to provide a decent service?!? Plus an extra person to help with self-setvice check outs? Why putting self-service check outs one staff has to always be there?
I wish I could give this Post Office 0 stars. Avoid at all cost! Waited in the queue for over an hr due to there only being 2 staff members in on a busy Saturday! To top it of one was at the money exchange part and the 2nd staff member decided to come off tills and leave it unattended for 10, 15 minutes. The queue got larger and larger as you can imagine after this. Various people in the queue said this is the case all the time never enough staff.
Absolutely useless. Every time I go here I have to queue for over an hour, and often have not been served because it closes while you're waiting in the queue. They take around 15 minutes per person. What is going on? The average wait time everywhere else is 5-10 minutes to be standing in queue. Disgusting. Hire more competent people.
Every time I visit here the queue has been very long. I would not recommend coming here during your lunch break as it has taken me roughly 40 minutes to get to the counter. The queue sometimes snakes into the WHSmiths.
That is an absolute nightmare. I rather prefer to go by bus somewhere else, despite that I live locally. There i no staff in this post office, the self service machines many times out of service. If you post someting with signature, a staff member have to approve a transaction, and obviously no one is there to do this. So anyway there is no any uses of this machine as always needed someone to be there. You have to shout to the staffs , to please come finally, but they are busy at the window so you are standing and waiting about 10 min when finally someone comes. After the person return his work, and the next person will have the same issue... What is the pont to have a self service machine if its cannot operate by itself??? Not speaking about the attitude of the staffs, especially an elderly man, who does not know even how to say hi. So arrogant and rude... In summary if you do not want to get a stroke while you queeing , and if you have no 2 hours to proceed a postage , better if you travel 30 min to go somewhere else, you will be done sooner. Horrible experience, I do not wish to anyone.
I counted today a queue of 32 people. Excluding kids and those that looked like they were waiting with a friend/family member, 32 people waiting to be served by one of 2 slow and rude individuals. I’d waited 30 mins in the self service before being told I can not return a package through the self service. I’m pretty sure self service is created for something as easy as a return and when explained there was no signs telling me otherwise and I’d waited long she literally just went back to her desk?! No response or apologies, turned back and walked away?! A woman at the front of the queue told me she was there since 10:30 this was at 12:30 - they were supposed to close but had a chaotic queue of people already that were there for at least an hour. The lack of staff, the lack of manners displayed by the god awful staff they managed to find was beyond ridiculous. Hire more competent staff and put up updated signs. It’s unfair to have people wait this long for basic services.
The Saturday opening hours until 12:30 is very unfair for both customers and staff stretched to serve us all. Royal Mail need to employ more staff, it’s okay entirely unfair on both sides.
Absolutely disgusting place. Horrible customer service. They have PayPoint, but when they feel like it, they serve you when they don’t feel like it they said the machines are not working.
