Asian lady is very rude. Always seems to be an issue posting here. Either they try to overcharge me for postage, or items go missing. Latest issue is a 48hr tracked parcel that hasn’t been delivered… Two weeks later tracking still states the parcel hasn’t even left the property, but they claim it’s gone. I’ve never had an issue when posting at the Delivery Office round the corner. Only used the Post Office because the Delivery Office was closed. Will never ever use this Post Office again and definitely do not recommend.
Not happy with post office staff! Every time I go in I know exactly what I want. Tracked 24 no signature... In response they put through special delivery, and quote me the much higher price. I say why is it so much, they say because it's late 4pm and to guarantee delivery you must get this one. I respond and say I asked for tracked 24 no signature. They say is it urgent sir, if it's urgent you need special delivery otherwise it won't come next day. I respond I want tracked 24 no signature. They then give me a the price with signature, I say I payed less before why is it so much, they give me two prices, and say one is for signature one without. There are the Indian lady's behind the counter and they will try whatever they can to convince you to get the more expensive delivery, special delivery. Be vary wary of this. This has happend more than 5 times now it's really annoying. Every time my parcel came next day.
Like everyone else had mentioned, the Asian lady in this post office as the customer service skills of a toaster. How she's allowed to work here just amazes me. She's fine to not serve customers and stand around and chat even when there's a queue of people waiting, but if you're looking for the barcode of your parcel on your phone and you're 10 seconds late she thinks its okay to tell you to move aside whilst she serves other customers before you. Absolutely the rudest person I've met inside a post office. This place should be shut down or at the very least remove this person
Basildon post office town center inside WH smith:nnAfter trying to send a parcel thru Evri, the manager offered me a post office card that I can use internationally. She then promoted that availing one is free. After putting my details on the system, she then told me that I need to put money on it in which minimum is £10.nnSince i got way too committed and havent seen it coming, I have agreed, but unfortunately, my Barclays credit card wont scan and work.nnI then told her that I just have to cancel it for now as my card isnt working.nShe then insisted for me to use a different card or come back from home insisting for me to pay it despite the fact that I would just rather have it cancelled for now as there was a long queue after me and I dont want to make a delay for everyone. She made a big fuss in front of everyone and has demanded for me to call someone who could pay for it. She then harassed and embarassed me in front of every customer saying that she needs my payment or else she will hold my parcel that I already processed until I pay for it. I had to leave and handed her my parcel and was in utter shock.nnI havent had the time to reflect on it and when i did, I had to come back right away and asked for her name and realized she is the manager. She twisted her words and insisted that she didnt say anything about holding my parcel despite the fact that every customer have heard it. She then told me she will send my parcel and will not insist anymore for any payment for the card that I declined to avail.nnI heard from my fellow co-workers that she has been doing the same for immigrants as she constantly harass people to avail something, posting as free then later on had to put a deposit on it. She is asian indian and it was utterly disappointing to receive that kind of service considering I am also asian.nnThe rest of the staff are amazing except her. Given the questionable approach she has done, I could file a case under the Protection from Harassment Act of 1997 due to this behavior she has caused.
The manager was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding a Post Office Travel card. She guided me through the process and was very patient.
