The Indian lady who works behind the counter clearly has a financial interest in upselling and charging you more for services as she lied to us to get us to have a post office international card that allows you to buy things abroad similar to a Mastercard she charged us over the going exchange rate and padded her answers to confuse us but then ended up giving us some money back because my husband is a mathematician and is intelligent. She is very untrustworthy and will steal from you in your face and talks to you in a condescending tone in a voice that makes you think you are at fault and you are the one who doesn’t understand - it’s her way of doing reverse psychology, she might as well say I’m going to make you question yourself and make you feel like your stupid so I can get extra money from you. If you are not sure about something don’t do it, we now go to the post office in Tesco Pitsea where we always get an honest answer and the staff there do not have personal hidden agendas.
If I could give zero stars I would. How on earth does it take 4 days to receive a parcel that was guaranteed next day by 1pm. They always send my parcels to the wrong places. Multiple occasions of having a parcel rerouted because they consistently send them to the Romford mail centre and not the Manchester one. Hire people that will actually do the job they get paid to do!!!! I work in a post office myself so I know for a fact it’s not hard. This branch is just lazy, ignorant and incompetent to the very core. Don’t come here if you want things to arrive/be delivered on time. Absolute joke.
Basildon delivery office is the worst!!! Multiple times they lie that delivery attempted meanwhile they did not attempt delivery! They create the worst experience for customers and I dread it when a retailer that I order from uses Royal Mail! What’s the point of being a delivery service if you dont bother to actually deliver?! They might aswel shut this delivery office down because their level of competency is appalling
Absolutely terrible service I've been waiting for important documents to come that I know were posted first class 13 days ago they still haven't arrived..birthday card posted from basildon to colchester 9 days ago first class not arrived. Service is a total shambles and you have the cheek to keep increasing the postage unbelievable..I've not seen a postman/postwomen in weeks utterly disgraceful I've had things from China quicker than royal mail post!!!!and they say this is progress!!!! Shocking
My 2 packages are a week late. Tried calling up this post office but it's impossible to get in contact with a real human. Says press 2 to file complaints. Pressed to and it just repeats a message over and over again about redirecting mail then cuts you off. I'm sick of staying in everyday waiting for my items to arrive. I've had plans this week but havnt been able to do them since they never leave packages in the safe place, if you don't answer the door within five seconds hard for me as I live in a 2nd story flat and and to run down to main doors then they'll leave. They will ignore you if you talk through a Ring doorbell too. My mum asked one of the delivery men to leave it in the shed next to the house, very loudly, and he looked at the ring doorbell, then left.
Hours online are not correct! Went all the way there Google said it was open Saturday afternoon and it's closed
If you receive items via this post office. Do not buy expensive shipping. They never post on time. Been waiting a week now for my dogs ashes that were next day guaranteed by 1pm. And another that I paid £15 for that same shipping, both havent arrived. Theyve been "ready to deliver" for days now. Every single item I get from this post office, there's a problem with them not posting on time. DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR PACKAGE TO ARRIVE THE SAME YEAR
I am actually appalled with this office. I have been on the phone filing complaints with royal mail all week because of them. I bought some live insects to feed my pets from an online shop, paid for next day delivery, this was on sunday. They was posted early monday. Next day came, no package, "couldn't attempt delivery" checked for a red note, nothing. Next day still nothing, called royal mail and they said they ran out of time to post my package on Tuesday and that they should of posted next day. They didn't even come to my door to post a red note. My Mum went to this office on Thursday with my ID asking for my package, as it's live food and they will die if not brought home. They told her "we're too tired to look for it right now, it's been a long day." Incredibly rude woman. I'm guessing this was the same lady everyone is also complaining about. It is now Saturday and I still don't have my live feed. We have a complaint filed for this office as they let my live feed die. This package clearly has the words "LIVE ANIMALS" on it. And they have let it sit and rot in the post office because they are too lazy to repost it. Absolutely appalling. Edit I have had several more problems with this place since this happened. Nothing is being delivered on time. Even special delivery by 1pm. It's all coming a week later.
I use to visit this post office 3 to 4 times but I m totaly unsatisfied due to one of the #ASIAN LADY sitting their is very arrogant no smile on her face at all talks in attitude with us and doesn't guide us politely with what ever issue we have. She always treated wrongly to us all the time we went their we don't know what attitude she has UK is not the country of keeping attitude to each other we should always be helpful to each other and dear Asian lady you are paid to to serve us politely and calm ly.
If you're going to change opening times, change them online as well so people don't make wasted journeys!!
