Sadly this little post office has gone downhill. On several occasions I have found the main counter closed and one member of staff serving from till in the shop area during normal advertised opening hours After 30 years of using the local post office I am now needing to go elsewhere because it no longer provides good customer care/ services.
We have advised our customers and distributors not to use this post office, because of the rudeness and in some cases abuse from the man who runs the post office. The safety of our customers and staff is our top priority. The owner of this post office has no regard to anyone else including his customers.
Had a complaint from one of our customers who said the manager was very rude to him and believed it to be racially motivated. We have attempted to speak to the manager on the phone but he hung up on us. There are nearby alternative post offices that would be better to use.

First time at this local Post Office earlier today. Quick service and a great selection of greeting cards. Wonderful and helpful staff. I only went into post a package but took a few minutes to peruse around the shop - well organised and variety of greeting cards. To my amazement they had all the party essentials as well - balloons, decorations and party hats! I will be back!
Worst customer service ever. Asian man who runs this Post Office is arrogant, tuts ands grunts to acknowledge us customers and has an appalling attitude. By far the worst customer experience received anywhere in my life regardless of the nature of the business. Steer clear, I'll walk or drive happily to any other Post Office in Southend. He also opens late and blames the other staff for calling in sick.
One star is far too much for this post office!!. The girls that work behind the post office counter, one in particular, are the rudest people I have unfortunately ever encountered. I work for a local business that drops our post into them and whatever I do isn't right for them. Im not allowed to leave it in certain places which was once ok, so I leave it where they tell me etc but then that isn't good enough either. They also make me feel uncomfortable when I go in to drop the post off too. Sort the staff out in the place please before we boycott it!!
Went to collect a parcel at 5pm and it was closed even though it clearly states on the door and here that it's open till 5:30
Queued up for 20 mins to post one item. Then got told I wouldnt be served as I had to pay for the envelop before. So went to the other til and queued for another 25 mins while the lady chatted to her friend. Paid for the envelope and then went back to the post office and queued for now 35 mins as the queue had got longer. Finally actually managed to post my item before the asian behind the counter dropped my package on the floor even though it said fragile and then blamed me! Seriously avoid this post office.
Please note the Post Office is now closed and will soon be the new location for LPC Direct, which will be the new name and location for LPC Stationers from Leigh
